Really enjoyed this plate of fried rice.

Very filling despite the size.

One of the better restaurants surviving vegetarian sushi.

This is one of their more popular dish.

Felt it was good, but certainly not the best I vegetarian sushi I tasted. 4/5

Had always been passing by Teng Bespoke Vegetarian Restaurant if we were to hit Sunshine Plaza during lunch hours whilst working from the office β€” somewhere that I had always been wanting to try but had never done so because it is always so difficult to get everyone to agree to have vegetarian cuisine for lunch. And so when a friend mentioned that he is craving for a vegetarian meal for dinner on a weekend, I ended up suggesting making the visit either to Herbivore (at Fortune Centre) or Teng Bespoke Vegetarian Cuisine.

Initially wanting to go for their Mixed Vege Tempura Don β€” their rendition of the Tendon coming with vegetable tempura pieces as opposed to the mix of Ebi and chicken pieces that other Japanese Tempura specialty stores usually serve up, but we found ourselves ordering in a more communal style so we settled for the Hiziki Fried Rice instead. For those who hadn’t heard of Hiziki, think of it as an alternative to seaweed β€” essentially a dried sea vegetable of a similar nature known for its health benefits.

I usually don’t rave much about fried rice but the Hiziki Fried Rice really set things right at the first go; the soft, fluffy short-grain rice was like a pearly, non-sticky version of glutinous rice β€” the rice being lightly sweet yet seemingly carries a umami note from the Hiziki, all that whilst coming with nibs of corn, edamame, peas and carrots within. Coming in a single portion size, the Hiziki Fried Rice is probably good to share between two hungry souls with a bit of stomach space left to share a small side, or could feed three if one intends to order a heavier side (such as the King Mushroom). Make no mistake though; this isn’t quite the wok-hei heavy fried rice that most seem to associate fried rice, but its a testament to how vegetarian dishes can be big on flavour as well.

I like the juicy shiitake but not the mock meat fried dumpling..

This vegetarian maki is quite good, the salmon sashimi inside really taste like legit sashimi.

Portion is huge with thick cuts of lotus root , pumpkin , okra , eggplant , Enoki & seaweed . Really gd, like I wld choose this over Tenjin good ...

Vegetarian need not be plain nor tasteless, Teng managed to make vegetarian food yummy! Simple sliced king size mushroom with an umami sauce makes a great dish. Also tried the olive fried rice, avocado maki, yam roll and the more traditional paper mushroom pot. All great.

Yam roll, egg plant and unagi roll.
Purely vegetarian Japanese restaurant.
All the dishes are a bit too strong for the taste bud
Taste: 2.5/5
Service was not really on point as there seems to have shortage of manpower.

Olive fried rice /w truffle oil // kaki udon πŸ₯ // green tea soba noodles // fried yam rolls (soooo good) // mozzarella sushi 🍣 // avo tempura. Pretty satisfying spread even without the meat!! πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š #burpple #vesakday

Price: S$19

Despite the price, this could still easily be a dish that I would recommend to people who are bravely venturing into the vegetarian world. For dinner. It's a great way to dip their toe in and see that perhaps they can survive the trip.

The thing that attempts to be salmon sashimi is my favorite - considering that I loooove real salmon carcass. I also like the ones that attempt to be tuna sashimi. They're a little too brittle in texture but still good.

Not only are they beautifully done, they are very delicious too! πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

These are vegan sashimi. Cheerful colors with great taste, I can't wait to have more of these!! πŸ˜„πŸ˜‹

Tried this Japanese Vegetarian restaurant for the second time my family! Ordered the 2 popular sushi rolls and personally I prefer the soy-based Unagi Maki ($11) over the Avocado Maki ($11), although both are really good! Also love their refreshing Radish Salad ($15) with sesame sauce and their very tasty Japanese Rice ($20) with furikake seasoning.

Japanese Vegetarian Dining was a pretty interesting experience! The Radish Salad was really refreshing and reminded us of Lohei. Perfect appetiser for a family of perhaps 4-6. We also ordered Unagi sushi roll and Avocado sushi roll, some hot Soba and Udon Noodles and a seaweed fried rice. The Sashimi used is made from Shirataki, the popular Japanese ingredient used to make the famous zero-calorie noodles. It felt good to know that. Price-wise similar to that in any typical restaurants, but I think its one vegetarian restaurant worth a try!

13pax nom-ing on Japanese vegetarian. Check out the mock sashimi 😝☝🏻️ #japanese #vegetarian #πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

OMG, any fans of black sesame will definitely love this. Gorgeous, absolutely lush!!

This dessert is a let down. Perhaps is the lack of pandan flavouring and palm sugar. The green tea ice cream is nothing to rave about either.

This stout, thick fleshed mushroom is pleasantly chewy with teriyaki sauce that is not overly sweet.

It look exactly how it taste. I almost couldn't tell this is not fish.

Beautifully melded with seaweed and topped with succulent crunchy preserved veggie. My super favourite dish of the night!
