I won’t go back. SGD30 for this is not worth it. Fish was bland and tasted watery.... not fresh

Hiroshima Oysters ($1)
These oysters were served with ponzu sauce (Japanese citrus sauce) and momoji-oroshi (grated daikon radish with chili oil) and spring onions at the side.
As my friend and I had just consumed freshly shuckled oysters from The Dancing Crab @ Turf City the night before ($3), these oysters tasted noticeably less fresh, were much smaller in size and were sour and less juicy. While the sourness may have been due to the ponzu sauce, it did not do justice to the oysters and we would have preferred the oysters without the sauce. Also, though the oysters were served on a bed of ice, they were barely cold when we had them which made it even less enjoyable to eat.

Aburi Salmon Sushi ($10 at promotional price; $16 for 2 pieces)
Starting off with the ball of rice, the sushi master would mould it gracefully with his hands before adding a touch of wasabi and black sauce (Soya sauce?) to the rice. A layer of salmon would then be placed on top before being blowtorched which I thought was the end of the spectacle, hence stopping my recording. However, he went on for some time afterwards adding numerous toppings - ebi miso (Shrimp paste miso), fish roe and tiny green onions. The aburi sushi was meant to be eaten in 1 bite and so I did. While there were quite a few flavours which I did not pick up (Including the ebi miso), the fish roe at the top definitely complemented the sushi really well, with bursts of briny saltiness after every bite.

Am really glad to have found this gem where they offer $1 oysters daily. Oysters are not cheap in SG, and Teru's oysters are fresh and juicy, served on a bed of ice, very delicious and refreshing! Will definitely come back for more.
