$4+ ish to a cup of coffee. They were just so so. My flat white had too much milk it was like drinking bitter milk â˜č

The bestie had this for his mains. Bacon carbonara but the taste wasn't too great. Can't tell but somethings missing in this dish. Maybe no hint of cheese or the cream was too little, tasted like mild flavoured carbonara. It was $18 for this lunch set

Lunch set of Angus sirloin steak. Set costs $19 for a starter, mains and a dessert. Order the steak medium but it came almost well done. Nonetheless the seasoning was great, the veggies were done well too.

Citrus makes me so so so happy. I loved the lemon tart, which was more custardy than the regular tart, and had a lovely crumbly shell. This was my favourite dessert of the two! The Yuzu was also extremely tantalising and yummy, and as a non-mousse fan, I give it a huge thumbs up. (The Yuzu was my other friend's favourite.) The staff told us his favourite was the carrot cake, which looks absolutely delish, and is next on my MUST ORDER list!

Rich, decadent and absolutely divine! What amazed me most, was how the sponge still managed to stay so moist yet beautifully dense. While selecting the desserts with my friends, the staff carefully explained each item, and the process behind crafting these beautiful desserts. Each tasted of effort, beauty and quality ingredients. They are made fresh daily, and are beautiful to the eyes as well!

Went with meat-eating friends, which explains the other items :') After recommendations from the extremely friendly staff, I settled for this salad! (I asked for dressing on the side, and the first plate I was served had dressing tossed already, so when I requested again, the staff were extremely nice about replacing my salad, which made me feel very grateful. Splendid service here!!) The ambience here and the out-of-this world service would make me come back here in a heartbeat.

Made of up 60% pure chocolate on the top. As a non-chocolate fanatic, I actually enjoyed this! It wasn't too sweet or overly chocolatey. The layers were moist with a balance of sweet and bitter chocolate flavours!

Gotta love the little sparkles on the top that shone brightly with the natural lighting in the cafe! :D gotta love cafes that have sufficient lighting for photos! Raw and unedited photos FTW!

My fist time strolling around Metropolis and ends up here. It's very quiet yet comfortable to spend my birthday in a rainy day. I also get a free afternoon tea while waiting for the rain to stop. Owners, both the uncle and auntie is nice. Price is affordable and it's taste great👍

Light and fluffy!

The old-fashioned favourite tastes as great as it looks, and the softness of the cake was so dangerous that you will finish before you realized.

WHAT A STEAL because each of them ranges from $6.90 to $10.90 each!
Featuring (left to right) their limited Strawberry Shortcake, most popular Lemon Meringue Pie, and Yuzu Citron.
Great plating at a wallet friendly price. Simply in love with the spacious interior with high ceiling and tall glass windows, especially the friendly crews!

Was here for lunch but what really got me each time here were the desserts. Love the texture of the cheesecake that was not to heavy and dense, instead you get light but creamy cheesecake covered with roasted nuts for a nutty crunch.

With Chef Lester at the helm, each dessert is handcrafted to a high standard here. The Yuzu Citron had the right balance of flavours, which paired well with my cuppa. Once again, thank you Agnes for the warm hospitality! #nofilter

Essentially mee chiam kueh (peanut pancake), peanut butter and crunchy/gooey muah chee (glutinous rice balls coated with peanut and sugar) having a playful romp in a hyper-delicious ménage à trois. The muah chee bits were to die for, and this was amazing. 4.1/5

P.S. The peanut cake was a customised full cake order, which I was fortunate enough to have been able to sample. Do enquire about it if you are interested.

Oh, just hairveyn haitee wif mah gurlz in the middle of the day while my corgis sit outside in the summer sun cuz ahm so fancy, y'know?

Always happy to find new places at the vicinity of my office and tete-a-Tete is a great place to chill, being not overly crowded (yet). They have a good selection of cakes and French pastries as well as tea. And can I say their presentation is just lovely?

The bacon eggs were quite delicious, fusing together harmoniously such that with each bite, you taste both the egg (yolk) and that familiar, reassuring bacon fragrance and saltiness. You can tell with one bite of both the pork sausage and chicken sausage which one goes for BodyAttack classes and which one eats Mookata at Golden Mile once a week. I much preferred the chicken sausage, which was the right level of salty without the grease. I’d skip the mushrooms, which really needed to brush its teeth. 3.7/5

The Short Review

Price Range: $18-$25

Nearest MRT: Buona Vista

Instagrammability: High -
A pantheon of pretty cakes with ambience to match, sullied by a wall of text that should have used typography instead.

Food:
Trio of Cakes/Pastries [$18.00]
1) Lemon Meringue Tart
The best of the three.
A strong taste of egg white in the soft, brûléed meringue goes well with the lemon curd, though my personal preference would opt for a more aggressive, sour lemon taste.

2) Giant Raspberry Macaron [add $1.00]
Pretty but just okay.
It does have the problems of excessively large macarons, where the crispness and flavour of the shell takes a hit. But it isn't their fault!

3) Chocolate Tower
Quality chocolate & moist sponge, but in a chocolate cake.
A feuilletine base could add some crunch to it and elevate it from the texture of just a cake.

The bill came up to be extraordinarily cheap, so we're not sure if we received a student discount or divine management intervention, but the staff are extremely friendly, so do check this place out!

Food:
1) Bacon Eggs [$15.00]
Crisp, deliciously buttered bread, seasoned tomatoes & a salad accompany two expertly-cooked eggs wrapped in Bacon.
Capturing a nice yolk flow on Snapchat generally eludes me, but both eggs flowed really well & balances the salty bacon moderately.

The owner's extremely friendly, but I could see that she was slightly disheartened when she saw eggshell remnants on my plate. But still, the eggs were mostly well-handled.

2) Salmon Quiche [$14.90]
Freshly baked Quiche with soft vegetables & salmon tasted quite pleasant.
Basically savoury goodness.

Nestled in the quiet Biopolis cluster at One-North, TĂȘte-Ă -TĂȘte CafĂ© (pronounced "tatt-a-tatt") is a Parisian-style cafe serving cakes, pastries, brunch and an extensive selection of Basilur teas. With its wondrously high ceiling and spaciousness, this place makes for a perfect hideaway for those in the West, especially on Saturdays. Go for the Lemon Meringue Tart ($6.90) or the Flourless Black Forest Cake ($7.90) for something light, or bring your friends and treat yourselves to a Pastry Trio ($18 for three pastries) and pair it with some of their Basilur Specialty Teas ($5 for a small pot; $9 for a large pot).
