Plan your next family dinner around belly-filling Balinese platters at this cosy spot tucked in The Strand. The dining concept here focuses on ‘mengibung’, which translates to 'communal dining', and their Paket meals are just that. Order Paket B (RM130), a bamboo basket filled with 13 delicious items like crispy fried duck, Balinese pork curry and baked sea bass served with vegetables, a variety of sambals and rice. Be sure to make room for dessert! The Bubur Campur (RM10), a traditional Balinese dessert with sweet potato, black glutinous rice, sago and more in creamy coconut milk is just divine.

Tucked in Kota Damansara's The Strand, this hidden gem serves mouthwatering Balinese dishes — perfect for sharing with hungry friends. Get the Paket (RM130) that sees a whopping 13 items, from meats like crispy fried duck and pork curry to vegetables and plenty sorts of sambal, all served on a big bamboo platter. For the true Balinese experience, book a table on the first floor where you can dine traditional 'lesehan' style — sitting cross-legged on the floor!

There’s nothing quite like a ginormous platter filled with spicy Balinese specialties to feed the table, and at The Uma, it’s highly recommended to go big. Each platter comes with three meats (from fish to fried duck and pork curry), some vegetables, skewers, and rice for four. I love that you get to try a bit of everything and each item has a uniqueness to its flavour whether it’s spicy or sweet.

This is one of the rare Balinese restaurant in town which serves PORK! I have been patronising them for several times since its opening many years ago and I’m glad that they are still serving excellent food and top notch service. Non pork dishes such as the grilled chicken, baked seabass & curry mutton are equally good.

💰: RM30-40 per pax
