Long overdue. A widely raved stall. I can see why. The broth was so rich and umami, probably at the ceiling already. The seafood was decent. But the tanghoon, not beehoon, is an acquired taste in my opinion. Overall definitely good but expectations raised too wild.
Try Fresh XO Seafood Noodles have since shifted to Kelantan Lane.
Having previously patronised their Jalan Sultan Shop, thus already know it will be good.
Standard still as good, seafood still as fresh.
Generous amount of Seafood for $8.90, just see how many Scallops there are.
Awesome!
The best item on their menu in my opinion. Wok hey was prominent and tasty. It wasn’t jelak like the other dishes offered, and cheapest on the menu too!
This appeared gimmicky but actually tasted quite nice and noodles were springy. Probably good to share because it can get a bit jelak if you have the whole bowl to yourself. Great to add the Chili especially since it cuts through the creaminess of the salted egg.
Felt like a souper version of hokkien mee.
Surprisingly, this was better then the XO noodles.
Seafood damn fresh, the pork lard crispy and gave this dish an extra kick.
Saw many good reviews and also watched Nina on Foodking wishing to serve this at her wedding. So it didn't take much convincing for me to try this for myself.
I felt this is much better with chilli padi thrown into it.
The sotong and prawn was very fresh, and the lala also alot.
Overall I felt this was very good and definitely worth to travel all the way down to jalan sultan for.
