Yuzu Float w Hojicha Ice Cream ($7.80)

According to my sister, yuzu float was really refreshing and she let me to try their hojicha ice cream. It's not that bad and quite milky tbh 😅 got roasted tea (not strong)

Uji-Matcha Float w Matcha Ice Cream ($7.50)

I also wanted to try their float series after a long time. There's uji-matcha w milk ver and same as hojicha w milk also. Matcha was really good, quite bitter and less milk (quite pure). It's not that bad and quite milky tbh 😅 got bitter aftertaste (not strong).

Tsujiri serves really great quality of tea desserts and beverages. The hojicha soft serve has a good scale of sweetness coupled with the robust flavour from the hojicha. Perfect for a sunny day!

Expected Damage: $7-$9

Famed for their matcha and houjicha desserts, the one thing in the menu that you should not miss out on is the Shiratama Parfait ($8.50), which also comes highly recommended by the staff, as it is a base of azuki beans topped with matcha soft serve, kanten jelly and shiratama dango aka mochi balls. This is exactly what you would expect from a Japanese dessert with the right balance of bittersweet flavour and chewiness.

If I used just one word to describe this cake, it would be DRYYYY. Ok lah it's actually not that bad, the middle layer of cake is pretty soft but the top and bottom layers are really dry for some reason. It's alright though, as the main star of this cake is the matcha, and boy does it shine.

The matcha cream is any matcha lover's dream. The matcha taste is super strong and isn't sweet, such that you get a powerful bitter matcha punch with each mouthful of cream. The cake complements this cream really well too, with a slight sweetness and a hint of fragrant matcha embedded in it too. The sweetness of the cake is enough to elevate the entire cake, cream and all. The white chocolate shavings on top do the same, so that this cake is at the perfect sweetness level that doesn't take away from the pure matcha taste, instead adding to it.

For $6 it's at a pretty alright price, it's quite big and definitely satisfies matcha cravings. Worth a try!

The ice cream has a really nice, strong matcha taste. The chiffon cake is supposedly also matcha but I can't really taste it tbh cuz of how overpowering the ice cream matcha taste is. It's really dry as well :/ I suppose letting it soak in the ice cream softens it up a bit but I wouldn't recommend getting the cake on it's own. The red bean is those natural ground kinds and adds some sweetness to the parfait, and the cornflakes add crunch! However I dont really find this worth the price because cornflakes are cheap and the cake is too dry, only the ice cream is a real standout.

The warabimochi is so soft and springy and I LOVE IT. I definitely want more! Both flavours (matcha and kinako kokuto) were delicious but I especially liked the kinako because of the nutty fragrance. It's a little sweet and I just looove the qq texture!! My friend tried it too though and she didnt like it so it could come down to personal preference.

Overall really nice but super expensive HAHAHA only treated myself cuz I have vouchers but if you wanna indulge in some good Japanese ice cream and your wallet isn't crying at the moment, this is a good place to visit!
