The soft boiled egg was not expected based on traditional Nonya cooking. Broth tastes good, would be nice if it was hotter. Belacan was pretty tangy and slightly spicy. Not dangerous for the faint hearted. Lovely vibes.

Aglio-olio pasta with fresh prawns and bacon, peppered with deep fried dried shrimps. Heavenly!

My hoomans finally brought me here! Second time here since 2015. The interior of the cafe didn’t change much, but the taste of the food vastly improved.

Ordered the Carbonara ($17), Pan-Seared Lamb Rack ($28). The pasta was super creamy and quite gelak after a few mouthfuls but the lamb rack (medium rare) was super on point! Would totally recommend yall to try out it out as it surely does not disappoint! 😋

The staff were also nice, as they gave me a little biscuit while my hoomans had their meal!

Nasi Lemak w Ayam Masak Merah ($15)

A decent plate with delicious chilli however it was quite expensive for the price...
The cafe is usually crowded during Lunch time so expect to wait for food / service.

Egg Bene usually seals the deal if I would go back to a brunch cafe, for this I would. Homemade cakes that comes at big slices are yummy too. Good service tops the experience!

Another of my find suitable for working purposes. There’s a wide variety of food choices to choose from and they serve pretty decent food. Chef’s Special Assam Seabass with Rice totally bring out the local flavors. Sweet and sour flavored gravy with that layer of crisp seabass skin atop the firm seabass, was really good. Good contrast of color and texture all in that one bowl.

Ps/ they have drinks as interesting as teriyaki avocado latte! Game to try?
