Very Nice Truffle Sukiyaki Beef Bowl paired with soft onsen egg. Goes well with the cold Asahi Super Dry draft. It came with a small portion of the torched mentaiko scallops which was gobbled down before photos could be taken. I like the environment, good to chill with friends. Staff were courteous and helpful with reservations.

With Burpple’s 1-for-1, we paid $50++ for a 3 course meal for 2 pax.

The 3 course meal came with Mentaiko Scallops, a choice of Truffle Sukiyaki/Mentaiko Salmon and a glass of Asahi Super Dry. All the dishes came with a generous amount of tobiko and the onsen egg went really well with the Truffle Sukiyaki.

Will definitely be back again. Good food tucked in a cosy restaurant!


For $12.90, this glorious bowl of Truffle Shoestring Fries is one of the best truffle fries I ever had. It’s crispy and goes very well with the side dip.

Throw back to last Friday’s dinner at @waacowsg Marina One with my dear friend! So glad that Waa Cow offers non-beef option. (although one might be thinking why would you even go to Waa Cow if you are a non-beef eater 😂).

Started the 3-course meal off with Mentaiko scallops. 6 pieces of flame-torched Hokkaido scallops drizzled with Mentaiko sauce, topped with scallions and tobiko. Though they were rather thin slices, the scallops were bursting with sweetness and a hint of smokiness, which complemented really well with the creamy Mentaiko sauce. An appetizer that definitely whet my appetite!

Interestingly, the signature truffle sukiyaki had sukiyaki slices cooked in their house made beef bone tare paired with shaved truffle. 😍 For non-beef option, Mentaiko salmon would be served instead of the signature truffle sukiyaki. Pretty generous with the huge chunk of salmon which was also well-seared, on a bed of fluffy Japanese rice seasoned with furikake and tobiko. However, I found the salmon to be slightly overcooked instead of being medium rare.

Thanks to #burpplebeyond, we enjoyed 2 sets of the 3-course meals at the price of 1! Extremely worthwhile where you get 1 appetizer, 1 Donburi and a drink (Asahi Super Dry or non-alcoholic option) each. A completely packed restaurant at night tells you just how popular they are, even though they are located slightly out of the CBD area. Would be back in future especially for the mentaiko scallops!

We also had the chicken karaage as it seemed to be popular among diners there. The batter was thin and crispy, while the chicken meat was really juicy. Doesn’t appear much like the usual chicken karaage, but more like chicken nuggets. Can’t really go wrong with their umami, creamy Mentaiko sauce!
