Located inside Food Republic of Causeway Point, that is this Japanese restaurant selling good Japanese foods. The portion given was huge for this price of $7.80., comes with fried fish, omelette and rice with curry gravy.

Had always been wanting to try out Washoku Goen's ramen — this was actually not too bad for one coming out of a food court. While the noodles are a little softer than al-dente, the Pork Soup (or so they call it) was decently savory — a little bit on the lighter side in flavour but I guess it would be unfair to expect anything more than this. The Onsen Egg came well-executed, with a molten yolk that actually flows, while the two slices of pork belly came much tender and with a good bite. For $10.80, it might not be something I would order on a everyday basis but it is certainly a good option to have while around Food Republic.

Something different - ginger poached chicken, whose subtlety still shines through the weighty curry.

To think they already have one outlet within Woodlands at Admiralty Place, and now they have brought it a step nearer to me by having one at Causeway Point; really makes me wonder if they are going have at outlet at every single food court near MRT stations some day. Opted for the Special which comes with a croquetto (yes, I spelt that right) and a half-boiled egg with double portion Tonkatsu. Overall I thought the Admiralty Place outlet was better for the Tonkatsu was a little bit more crispier and the curry here seemed a little burnt with a short hint of off-ish bitterness lingering at the back. Perhaps this outlet needs a little time to iron the initial opening jitters out; the staff weren't really familiar of which condiments to serve alongside which order, while there was also a Japanese dude at the counter at the Admiralty Place outlet when I visited that outlet a while ago. Nonetheless, still glad to have a decent spot in Woodlands to consider when I need my Japanese Curry fix; hoping that they would manage to pull through and iron things out in the long run.
