Ordered 7 items a la carte ham & cheese platter. It comes with 4 types of cheese based on their individual categories (From hard, semi hard cheese to soft, blue cheese), fruits, nuts and various hams.

Cheese is just like perfume. Each of them taste differently...from earthy, fruity, sour & sharp to gasoline๐Ÿ˜‚

An eye-opening gourmet experience!๐Ÿ˜ #cheeseplatter #jdkungfoodhunt #wineconnection #burpple

finally managed to grab @klimjl to try this. It was very good. Cheese on point. Cold cuts were extremely generous. But my diet has been too clean recently; an hour into the meal I felt its intensity. Had to drink 1.5l of water to flush it all away. Also extremely stuffed because I ordered another basket of bread to balance out my palette.

Verdict: Not for the weak or average cheese lover. I would probably do this again; but not anytime soon.

Weekend brunch with the girlfriends ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ Wonderful weather, gracious company, gorgeous food and wine!

Burrata that's what. I'm doing a story on oozy foods and the folks at Wine Connection suggested this beautiful ball of burrata. The smooth lump of cheese hides a luscious, creamy centre of gooey cheese. Cold and refreshing it's perfectly partnered with a quartet of more colourful and flavourful characters. The tangy tomato coulis leads the quartet, its sharp flavour a bright contrast with the cool creaminess of the cheese, the roasted eggplant bringing a savoury richness, and the generous sprinkling of fried garlic a touch of fun and crunchy texture. The taste of the asparagus does little for the dish, its ludicrous green colouring being its only attractive quality. The star of it all is still the burrata though, the intensity of the other elements lifting the refreshing cheese with its clean, clear flavour a welcome way to wrap up a meal. $29 at the Cheese Bar at Wine Connection. #burpple
