Soft, springy and chewy mochi snowballs, that’s the size of your palm! The texture is super squishy and cute, I enjoyed its mouthfeel as it has a good balance of chewiness and stickiness. I wish it didn’t come in these cupcake paper cups as the mochi tends to stick to the corners a little, but I think the mochi would be too difficult to pick up otherwise since it’s so soft.

The snowball mochi has different fillings, from classic flavours such as chocolate or strawberry, to more interesting and uncommon flavours such as dragonfruit, kiwi, or even durian. We got the mango and grape flavours, which had mochi on the outside and fresh cream + fresh fruit pieces on the inside. Quite refreshing and satisfying to eat, slightly on the sweeter side but that’s up my sweet tooth alley! The grape mochi was slightly uncooked at the bottom, that’s my only issue with it.

The place is a takeaway shop though there’s a tiny stool at the corner of the store. We visited on a weekday evening. They had a few bakery items on display but not all the flavours of mochi were readily available - you had to wait for them to make it for you if you wanted something else. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

🍰 White Rabbit Swiss Roll

πŸ’° $9

White rabbit craze may be over but I got this anyway. This white rabbit swiss roll is wrapped to look like a gigantic white rabbit candy so cute hohoho

Quite surprised at how much this swiss roll tastes like actual white rabbit candy! Its milky and sweet and it also has cream and pudding inside, which were texturally exciting. Theres a small sprinkle of oreo crumbs that gave it a chocolatey taste, really enjoyed it.

Quite worth it for $9 imo.

🍰 Taro Tiramisu Box Cake
πŸ“Xiao Gege Snowball Mochi (@adamxiaogege)
πŸ“Œ Chinatown
πŸ’° $13.80

Two things that I never thought I'd see put together: taro and coffee. Yet somehow, @adamxiaogege has managed to make this work so well.

The coffee taste is really strong because coffee was poured directly on to the chiffon cake layers, I believe. Its bitter yet the sweetness of the cream and taro balance it out nicely.

The taro paste is really smooth and natural. Doesn't taste artificial in the slightest, and its just sweet enough to be tasty yet not saccharine.

Honestly @adamxiaogege is really winning me over with their bakes! Quite pricey for the small size but really unique.

🍰 Pandan Floss Box Cake
πŸ“Xiao Gege Snowball Mochi (@adamxiaogege)
πŸ“Œ Chinatown
πŸ’° $8.80

Never seen anyone combine pandan cake with floss before and lemme just say... @adamxiaogege is really ahead of everyone cuz this is BUSSINNNN

The pandan cake and coconut cream are absolutely fantastic. Really soft with a strong coconut milk fragrance. The floss just adds an extra amount of oomph to it. Honestly floss makes everything better. Especially cake.

Its pretty small for something that costs $8.80, so unfortunately I couldnt get it frequently, but trust me when I say that this is really good and @adamxiaogege once again impresses me!

🍞 Salted Egg Mochi Floss Cake
πŸ“Xiao Gege Snowball Mochi (@adamxiaogege)
πŸ“Œ Chinatown
πŸ’° $4.20

I love floss cakes and @adamxiaogege really took theirs to the next level by adding mochi AND salted egg like,,, sis is fed πŸ˜‹ $4.20 seems pretty pricey for a floss cake but this cake is pretty large, its about palm-sized and very hefty when lifting.

Compared to other floss cakes, this one tastes a lot healthier as it doesnt use mayonnaise or egg cream, such that the taste of the floss and the cake are able to stand out on their own. The mochi is hella stretchy and pretty dang satisfying. The salted egg is dry and crumbly, personally would have found it more interesting if they used salted egg cream or something more lava-ish so that the cake as a whole would be more moist.

I'd never consider floss cakes to be healthy but @adamxiaogege 's take on this is definitely on the less sinful side. One of the more unique cakes I've had and super worth the money!
