Pan fried dumplings have a strong porky taste but still taste great.
The buns are soupy and filled with marinated meat that will leave you wanting more.
Though they increased the price of Xiao Long Bao (10 Pieces) from $6 to $7, it is still one of the more affordable ones. While the skin of the Xiao Long Bao is not the thinnest one around, the saving grace is definitely its well marinated minced pork fillings. There is no “right” way to eat the Xiao Long Bao, but my favourite way would be to bite a small hole at the side of the dumpling, let the broth pour into the spoon, dip the dumpling in the vinegar sauce, eat the dumpling and lastly savour the broth.

The dumpling skin was so soft and silky, and the meat fillings so juicy and fragrant! Along with the slight spiciness of the chilli oil and sourness from the vinegar, this dish made my tastebuds very happy. It effectively fulfilled both my dumpling and spicy food cravings at once.
We visited on an early evening on Sunday, which was slightly before the peak dinner crowd. Waited about 30 minutes for this, which was acceptable I guess. Any longer would probably be a no for me. There isn’t any sort of automated queue system so you would have to stand to queue until you reach your turn to place an order.
Also tried to XLB from this stall. The dumpling skin had a relatively good texture and thickness, while the filling was of good portion. I did wish that it was more flavourful and juicier. The price does make the shortcomings easier to overlook, but I’d prefer DTF XLB over this.
That being said, the chilli oil dumplings remain unbeatable in my heart. Please recommend me other delicious hong you cha shou places for me to expand my horizons!🥹

After all that hong you cha shou, I have finally found space in my stomach to get the bowl of beef noodles as well. I enjoyed the slight sourness of the soup and the spice from the chilli oil. I did think that the soup was a bit on the lighter side and could’ve been just a notch stronger in flavour. But the qq noodles were on point, as always.
