Really great creations by the chef! At $42++ for a set for two it was quite a deal for the ambience.

Food was good, I personally preferred the savoury treats to the sweet but they were all classic high tea items that were accented with a local twist. Really appreciated their take on Peking duck and Nasi Lemak.

Worth a try!! Good selection of TWG tea as well.

But after trying... it’s so worth it!!! Flavours are rather unique, you’ll be spoilt for choice. (Tho there’s just 1 flavour I personally dislike deeply, kinda tastes like friggin’ medicine HAHAAHA). Seems like they make their own waffle cones too. Cool!

But luckily they were open last weekend. If only they are open daily!😊 I can’t help but order black sesame most of the time 😆 Was looking forward to trying taro, but the taste was not strong enough for me. This was the first time I tried their waffles and I realised it’s more like Eggo crisp waffles rather than fluffy pandan ones, but it’s not bad!

That's the Red Spicy Tonkotsu King ($11.90). Gosh I miss the broth base just looking at this 😭 Cloudy thick and salty after being simmered with pork home marrow and fat for hours. I crave intensity and with this one, I love that you can opt for strong flavour because the Red Spicy does mask some of the goodness of the broth compared to the other two ramen on the menu. That soft chasyu and bit of spring in the ramen, I just want some Tonkotsu King again stat 😭
You can read about the rest of it here: http://herecomesgin.wixsite.com/ginwashere/single-post/2017/01/02/Tonkotsu-King

Finally got a bowl 🍜 on my third attempt to buy at the stall. Extremely affordable and delicious. For $8, you get- half of a soft boiled egg, Char siew, potato fried shrimp, two Chinese wanton dumplings and noodles drenched in XO sauce.

.
My favourite were No.3,4,5! Especially those with Mochi as fillings, the chewiness adds extra dimension to every bite! Love the generous fillings of kinder bueno sauce inside it, s’mores sauce was just nice, not too sweet with balanced the whole croissant really well! Some croissant can get really oily but this one was just nice! Highly recommended if you have yet to try! I think your able to collect at 3 locations, collected mine from the Stateland cafe located near bugis! #burpple

this month’s flavour is apple sorbet & salted caramel. you could choose to have both swirled together to make ‘apple pie’. though i couldn’t taste the apple pie, it tasted like apple sorbet to me but it was refreshing since the weather was so hot. the earl grey mochi doughnuts were chewy & overflowing with warm earl grey lava that were rich in tea fragrance and not too sweet. honestly prefer this set way more to their waffles! 💓

Flavourful yet well balanced.

Simple bowl of noodles with an intricate mix of ingredients. A kind of taste that you will not get sick of it even after multiple bowls.

Reasonably priced, every main is slightly less than $10.

The design of the store reminds me of eating in Vietnam ☝🏻

A very busy cafe on Saturday afternoon which it takes 20 mins for our food to arrive, but i must say it worths a wait. The french toast (Who spill the jam? ($19) comes before our main which is slightly odd but its very instagrammable! A bit on the sweet side though they have berries and the jam to balance it, still its better to be shared rather than having it alone. We ordered the steak and egg which is good too. The coffee is alright.

Wen Wen Big Prawn Mee is now back at the newly renovated Geylang Bahru Market & Food Centre! All I can is that soup is just as shiok, uncle Richard is just as friendly and the experience just as fun as before (sadly, no more lala). He even has his own add-ons now like veg and fresh pork shabu shabu so you don’t have to bring your own (though you still can).

Nice collagen soup, but paying $25++ for 1 person and for vegetables with a little portion of chicken tsukune is kinda pricy. Photo shown are for 3 pax portion. 😰

Prices stated before GST & SC.

Just Awesome.

Great tasting skewers that are well marinated & brought to us in grilled state. We just need to keep them nice and toasty on the heated box on our table and could happily start digging in. Bbq without the hassle👍🏻 and everything is still hot but not burnt. Really like the peppery marinade that wasn't so overly spicy that you can't enjoy the skewers. Particularly enjoyed the chicken wings - i wonder how long they marinated the meat for. It was super tasty and the meat was easy to bite and tear with just a pair of chopsticks. The scallops & potato slices (potato chips??) were also our favourite😍

Remember to get the Lao Te beer as well. It's light & refreshing and goes really well with all the grilled food👍🏻
