I am surprised this isn't a signature item because I found it superb. Besides being one of the cheaper rice bowls at $11 (before taxes), the marinated-for-48-hours piece of boneless chicken thigh was expertly grilled with a crisped skin. Serving size may not be huge but the onsen egg, shredded cabbage with a dash of light dressing and chopped spring onions all contribute to making this a rice bowl I wouldn't hesitate to order again.

$15. Egg was perfectly poached and went perfectly with the flavorful beef. My favorite part was the truffle shimeji mushrooms. Good coffee is a definite plus.

Buttermilk spiced fried chicken was crisp, tender, and very tasty; and the waffle - defo one of the better ones around - was fantastic on its own. Most places nail one component, but either on its own is always lacking. This though, was πŸ‘πŸ» also enjoyed the change of having marinara, though I'm sure it'll be superb with the usual maple syrup too!

Just a short three minute walk from Farrer Park MRT, Old Hen Coffee Bar is a cosy coffeehouse that is the great for catching up with a friend over light bites and excellent coffee! Be sure to order the popular Creamy White Cold Brew ($6.50) β€” slightly sweet, lusciously creamy and with a welcome tinge of acidity. In the past, limited edition flavours have been released during holiday seasons, like the Dark Cocoa with Orange for Chinese New Year and Valrhona Dark Cocoa Peppermint for Christmas. Be sure to keep your eye out for these delicious brews!

Homemade Waffles [S$10] with Greek yoghurt, apple compote, pistachios and salted caramel sauce. If only they had ice cream to go along with the waffles. Still, they are one of my favorites.

Sinfully rich PBJ sandwich - peanut butter and mixed berry jam, cornflake-crusted chocolate & milk bread! This seems like something that you can easily whip up at home but somehow pbd made it so shiok that I don't feel too bad spending $8 on it + it made my busy Tuesday a little betterπŸ€— But...... a running sesh is due.

It's hard to resist anything Peanut Butter & Jelly, especially after being tempted by my fellow CBD foodie khakis that Park Bench Deli makes a mean PB&J sandwich. Crunchy peanut butter and mixed berries jam burst out as you sink your teeth into chocolate & milk bread crusted with cornflakes. Much as I love to finish it on own, it's quite impossible...

I was expecting slices of meat topped with melted cheese. Instead, when I cracked open the paper-wrapped roll, an orgiastic party was revealed. Try as I might, there was no differentiating the components of beef brisket, molten cheddar and cooked-on-the-grill-till-soft onions. It was just one big, saucy and terribly delicious mess!

Usual SGD 20++. Lunch Promo SGD 19++ including coffee/tea/iced tea (12pm - 4pm). Delicious dry chilli-battered snapper fish and veggies served in tacos with Cajun fries and mango salsa at the side. I really enjoyed this!
I liked the delightfully light and crispy batter but found the fish meat a little bland. However, when paired with the addictive chipotle aioli sauce, it was just awesome. Reminds me of nachos with cheese at the cinemas but better! Love the Cajun fries too. A tasty dish that manages to stand out without being overwhelming.

Usual SGD 12++. Lunch Set Add On SGD 6++. I cannot resist ordering this when it's at half price! Yummy!
