Decided to head back to this establishment after being wowed by their garlic snowing pizza previously.

Unfortunately, the crab meat garlic pasta failed to deliver the wow factor. It is by no means a bad dish, but the flavour profile of this dish is nothing to shout about. Nevertheless, the dish was still worth it with the burpple one for one offer.

Ordered 4 eclairs and our personal favourite was the ispahan. The flavours of rose, lychee and raspberry were pronounced and was an interesting twist to the usual eclairs we know of. We also ordered berry (and lemon cream I think), earl grey and rose&lychee eclairs. They were not overly sweet and we could easily down many at one seating.

However the pastry was not the best. It was a little soggy and the eclairs were pretty pricey

Would go back when we feel rich. This is definitely not an everyday thing.

1-for-1 with #burpplebeyond!

I finally understood why the queue at Biseryu was perpetually long. Other than the limited seating capacity, the no-fuss bistro offers an extensive menu of Japanese fusion food from burgers, to omurice, black curry and many more. Took quite some time to even decide what to get as I was really
spoilt for choice. Highly recommended to make a reservation or else be prepared to queue!

Built using Kuroge wagyu beef patty topped with bacon, cheddar cheese and tomato sauce, the bf was really satisfied with the patty and its texture which he felt like it was handmade. You don’t have to worry about making a mess as a burger wrapper is provided so that you can enjoy holding the burger in comfort. Each burger comes with potato wedges and onion rings.

I chose the pork loin cutlet set from the Tonkatsu Kagura menu where specially selected pork from the Kagoshima prefecture is used. For a substantially big pork cutlet that’s served with rice, salad and 2 side dishes, it’s really what you would call value for money. I especially enjoy sprinkling some pink salt on the crispy bread crumbs while biting into the juiciness of the pork meat.

Thanks to Burpple Beyond, we enjoyed 2 main dishes at the price of 1, which comes with a drink each! On a side note, perhaps they could think of improving their service as the staff wasn’t too patient when we wanted to clarify the exclusions and payment method.

The creme buree was fantastic. It’s a must try for every single one of you out there.

For sweet bubble tea fans, oolong cream cheese may not be the one for you as it’s a very sour and bland in taste.

Umami > Truffle carbo > hae bi hiam aglio > crab pomodoro

my favourite still is the umami prawn hehe truffle carbonara portion for some reason seems alot more (diff pasta noodles) the other 2 is just mehhhhh

burpple's deal comes with a generous spread of all kinds of meat: tonkatsu, ebi, fried oysters and chicken karaage 🐔🐖🍤🦪. First and foremost, the fried oysters are the bomb, we loved how crispy it is while keeping it naturally juicy and sweet.

Also, you get to pick your meat for the tonkatsu too (there's the trusty pork loins, or you can change to fish, chicken) and we added on cheese

Must say that the tonkatsu and fried fish are both consistently crispy, and coated well with a golden crust. Thumbs up to their rich miso soup as well

A regular truffle been donburi is $28, but it’s also included in the Burpple 1 for 1, which makes it super worth it. The beef is tender, the sauce is delicious, the egg was cooked perfectly, and I also really liked the foie gras and caviar too.

In terms of drinks, my friend and I enjoyed:
- Crope Crop: a grape-based liquor that tastes like grape candy
- Rien: Japanese pear liquor that was light and really tasted like pears
- Sparkling Sake: sweet and like a white wine.

Would definitely go back again!

I came back here after my friend brought me. The food is so good and cheap. My family loves this place. We ate the sanuki beef udon, normal beef udon and truffle udon. The soups we are all amazing, the truffle was the heaviest/richest, sanuki was a little heavier/sweeter than the normal beef. Even the normal beef soup was amazing, it was lighter and clear. The noodles were cooked just right (chewy but not too much). Portion was great too. We got tempura but the mains itself were actually sufficient, so we felt really full. After 30%, the udon bowls were about $7-8 per bowl! Totally will come back here.
