Smooth, nutty & a lil' acidic. Something unique from the usual cold brews out there. I like this.
Italian bistro and gelateria Chapter 55 (sister to Ice Edge Cafe) has opened up shop in Tiong Bahru, adding to the already extensive list of eateries there. Their fluffy waffles topped with homemade gelato and range of Italian bites and desserts from pastas and pizzas to tiramisus and lava cakes are already drawing in the lunchtime crowd. Their signature gelato waffles ($14-$18.50) may be slightly on the pricey end, but hey - you get what you pay for in quality, with light, fluffy waffles, and rich, flavourful gelato.
A casual yakitori restaurant on the first floor, cocktail bar on the second, and craft workspace on the third, The Refinery is pushing the boundaries of what it means to be 3-in-1. Grab some 'Shiok Bak' or skirt steak skewers to go with the Refinery rice bowl, or go for some onion rings smothered in salted egg yolk custard sauce go to with that pint. For the creatives in search of a studio, their workspace on the third floor is open to enquiries. This place is set to pack in one cool crowd.
Fans of Monocle would be delighted to know that a brand new Monocle Cafe and retail store just set up shop in Holland Village. Located in the very residential Jalan Kelabu Asap, you can look forward to enjoying a great cuppa brewed with La Marzocco beans from New Zealand’s Allpress, and flip through copies of Monocle in their outdoor garden space. It's easy to miss, but for chill vibes and one of the best long blacks (according to Burppler Eileen Ong), it'll be beneficial to keep your eyes very peeled.
Nope I'm not in thailand now. The coconut husk had landed themselves on the shores of Singapore! @pong.gelato is officially opened today at Scape so head down there to chill on this cooling bites.
The latte was on point. Not too bold but flavourful. Check out their menu, as they constantly make changes to it. The best ice cream there was the butter beer flavour!
So we are at Suntec City for our soft serve! Frankly speaking, I feel it's pretty nice! Better than honey kreme i would say! The texture is harder and much more milky. It's pretty worthy and not much queue too because it's only 3 days old
Hokkaido Milk taste was rather evident but had a weird tinge of sweetness that seem a tad overdone. Crepes also felt a bit too dry somehow.
The much anticipated Club Meatballs, the latest project of Sarnies is set to be one of the hottest club in town. Currently open Mondays to Saturdays from dusk to dawn, serving hot food and drinks till late.
Coffee and hearty bites are available at the Club House on Mondays through Fridays from 8am to 4pm. I'll definitely be back for the food and drinks.
