This dry version is unique. None of that que que texture...it is softer but not soggy and goes very well with the chilli. But a bowl like this will not be enough for the big eatersπŸ˜‹ #noodles #noodlelovers #lunch #singaporefood #sgfoodies #burpple #i8mondays #8dayseat @hungrygowhere #bloggerssg

They are only serving sliders and booze during their soft launch phase, but the full menu seems ridiculously sexy and appealing - think Sweet Fish Sauce Cock Wing (yes, these saucy nymphos), Tofu & Century Egg Salad, Coconut Tau Huay, XYT Ayam Percik, Spicy Otak-otak Aglio Olio, Pork Ribs Croissant and Ovaltine Trifles. Dead excited to try like, everything.

Lobster roll and gyuniku donburi all too good. Need to visit again to try the bak chor mee @genevis has been raving about!

Probably my favourite bingsu flavour out of the ones we tried because of its refreshing taste that's perfect for any sunny day.

Superb lunch option along Boat Quay for the CBD folks! Quite a far walk from my office that my colleague jokingly mentioned that our lunch would've been digested when we walk back to office! But nothing stops us from reaching these yummy dons. Mine was fried chicken bites with sweet teriyaki sauce, mayonnaise and finished with a perfect onsen egg. Comes with a side salad with my favorite kind of sesame dressing and miso soup. Isn't it super worth it?

Hajime Tonkatsu & Ramen takes over the now-defunct Relish at myVillage, serving tonkatsu sets as well as ramen. The man behind it is no other than chef Tan-San, the former founding chef of tonkatsu restaurant Tonkichi and ramen chain Tampopo, who brings with him over 25 years of experience. Order the Premium Pork Loin ($19.90) β€” pork fillet with a crispy, crunchy coating served with refreshing yuzu miso soup and free flow of rice and cabbage. Other options include the spicy Tonkatsu Ramen ($14.90) and the Salmon Don ($16.90). The latter comes with fried salmon slices and a wobbly onsen egg, and is topped with an addictively tasty umami sauce.

Never expected to have such good quality crabs at such affordable prices! Although not as big as the full grown Sri Lankan crabs we normally see, the crabs here are still meaty, so you don't feel shortchanged. There are a few options here β€” $25 for three small crabs, $30 for two medium or $40 for two large. My girlfriend and I opted for two medium crabs, one cooked in chili sauce and the other in salted egg sauce. Note: The standard procedure is cooking both crabs in the same sauce, but we wanted to try different sauces so we paid $4 extra to have the crabs cooked in two different sauces ($34) β€” totally worth it! Also note that there's a difference between dry salted egg and salted egg sauce. Don't order the wrong thing! We nearly did 😨 Skip the tze char here, instead order the golden, pillowy mantou ($4 for 12!) to mop up all the sauce!! SHIOKKK πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

While this stall in Block 163 Gangsa Road's coffee shop also serves other dishes like porridge, mee hoon kuey and crispy e-mee, it is the humble instant noodles β€” otherwise known as "Ke Kou Mian" ("tasty noodles" in Mandarin) β€” that people rave about. Operations start only at 2am (they close at noon), after the other stalls have packed up, and streams of customers flock here through the night and into the morning. The shop owner is shorthanded in the wee hours, so expect the waiting time to stretch from 30 minutes to an hour. Go for the Pork Koka Noodles with egg (from $3) in the original flavour. Its broth is simmered for over 10 hours and they are generous with both the minced and sliced pork. Those who can handle the heat should go for the Spicy version with egg β€” it'll wake you right up!

From a stall with the very literal name 'Salted Egg Yolk Chicken'. Value for money (I think it was $4.50?) and a great choice if you are undecided and daunted by the immense variety in the Chinatown food centre.

Sweet eggporn dreams, everybody. Let's hope we'll wake up to a better day.
