They slice the steak for you, for easy dining. Once you're done with the first round, they will serve the rest of the steak.

You can ask them to set the gravy aside in a bowl. Personally I prefer my steak to not be drenched in gravy, but this is not too bad, though at times overpowering. Still, it's steak and they did it just right (I asked for medium rare), so, yum.

The fries are refillable and addictive. Didn't touch much of the salad as I'd wanted to focus on the steak.

$32.90 and 3.8/5

This red velvet slice was baked the English carrot cake style and very light. I had this after a full meal and it didn't weigh on the stomach. Rather expensive though. 3.8/5 and $7.

This is DA BOMB, I tell you. I was having a bad stomach flu and I *had* to take dinner that day. The Kaisendon don was so good I finished everything even though I didn't have appetite. Anyone who loves Japanese MUST EAT THIS. Fantastic!

I went for the non-chili option and no regrets there. Fills me up good, but just a tad too salty for my taste. Still good though!

$5 and 3.6/5

With all the Gong Cha and Koi cafes around, I didn't think I would try other bubble tea. This was introduced to me and gosh, it is delicious! (And so pretty!) They have a menu of many drinks I would like to try. This is Aloe Vera Passionfruit with (pink) pearls. 馃槏馃槏馃槏 $4.10 and 4.4/5

Literally in town, on the 6th floor of Lucky Plaza.

Tips: Try their fried meatballs and get the dish dry so that you can drench it in their signature red sauce (non-spicy). Heard that their mushrooms are good too.

The only other YTF which I truly love is the one at Chinatown market. Even so, it is difficult to compare these two as they are cooked differently. And both are AWESOME. For a dish of 8 items and a choice of mee pok, yellow noodles, kway teow or beehoon, it costs $5.40.

Not all hospital food has to be bad. Try the wanton mee if you happen to be at SGH. I don't usually eat chili but this dish is better with it. Noodles are springy, and ingredients are plentiful. Don't drink the soup though; it can be pretty salty.

I forgot the price of this but it's less than $5. 3.6/5

If you're a lost clueless tourist who wants to find authentic local food in Orchard, (which should be the last place to find actually) you can try this $5 char kway teow at the basement of Tangs Orchard. Eat it piping hot for a good fulfilling lunch. 3.8/5

This is my personal favourite at Xin Wang HK Cafe. The cream mushroom pasta is a sinful delight when you want to indulge. The chicken chop... Oooh. The skin is crispy and delicious and the meat is tender. It's not something one would choose at a HK cafe but no regrets.

This is at Toast Box Paragon, facing Mouth Elizabeth Medical Centre.

$7.40 for a plate of simple but yummy cheesy chicken chop noodles and a hot drink! Drink can be anything from coffee, tea to barley. I love how they added cheese in this dish and how it all come together. Comfort food when I have had a hard day. 4.0/5

I was looking for what sounded like the smallest serving on the room-service menu and ordered the Sandwich Board, thinking they would serve it like Singapore - mini sandwiches.

To my surprise, it came in a huge serving of 6 full-sizes bread with fries and coleslaw. Fresh and fulfilling and only RM15. That's SGD5+. Wow.

I had breakfast for dinner. :D

Okay, let's talk about this. I had it twice and it still blew me away. I know, I know. Every hipster cafe has this. But this was utterly delicious! The bread, OMG, I don't even like bread to begin with but they made the bread crunchy, crispy, soft and fluffy... Man, if you give me this bread, I'll have it every day. Bacon was juicy and seasoned well. Baked beans were not the usual canned beans, yum! Mushrooms om nom nom. Eggs were fluffy but could do with a tad more salt (it's just me). Sausage was a little hard but it could possibly supposed to be like that. 馃槀 Skipped the tomato because I was too full by the end of the meal.

$28.00. Pricey but worth the occasional splurge. 4.5/5
