Finally got to try this freakin' amazing hotpot - savoury seafood broth with all that sweetness, light yet so rich in flavour (all from the natural goodness of seafood; couldn't taste any msg if there were) that had us asking for refills. Best of all, free-flow noodles/ rice for the hungry bottomless pits, fresh seafood with pretty sizable crab, prawns, lalas; tender pork ribs, intestines, tail that didn't taste funky at all! Thanks to the suggestions of fellow Burpplers (πŸ™†πŸ») we thick-skinly bought our own ingredients to add on because the hotpot isn't quite complete without cheese tofu. And enoki. And shabu shabu. The super friendly uncle was very flexible with our orders, giving us the option of a different combination of seafood at a pretty reasonable price that fed all of us well but basically, portions/ prices are based on the number of people. Definitely will be back for more even in this sweltering heat😌

PS. Apparently they're shifting even nearer to the East soon YAY!

The tze char at the block 56 coffee shop runs a very brisk business at night ! I like the look and taste of this signature "mee sua Pattaya". Ask for sambal if you need additional kick. Will be back to try more dishes.

$6 for a bowl of this goodness! 😱😱 There's also zi char options as well if you're someone who dislike Mee Sua! One recommendation would be the salted egg chicken ! The deep fried chicken retained its crispness despite the sauce and its pretty addictive ! Since the opening hours is till 4am, people searching for cheap supper can keep this in mind

Steam Box recently introduced the Super Value Set Lunch, available on Tuesday - Friday from 11 - 3pm. Each diner can choose 3 dishes (with at least 1 vegetable dish) from a total of 18 dishes and it comes with rice and a choice of homemade barley or lemongrass.
All the dishes here are steamed and the steaming duration of each dish varies, as indicated by the colour of each plate. This is surely one of the healthier set lunch available around!

Found this in a random petrol station. Old good American way of eating meat in its most delicious form. Those meat juices along with their local grill sauce just made everything so shiok to eat!

Eggs Benedict with fresh crab meat layered with hollandaise sauce, fried bacon and sliced harsh brown. This place is a random diners at Idaho and I couldn't determine its location due to the lack of reception. All I can say that the state of Idaho being known for potatoes are serious about its potatoes, so darn good!

Signature hog island sweet water oysters found in tomala's bay. Understood the true meaning of freshness, it was the first time that there was zero feeling of uneasiness after eating a raw oyster. Freaking love the sauces that was mixed with salsa and lemon!

Best oysters ever ate! These are pacific sweet water oysters off the coast of north California, barbecued with chipotle bourbon butter, filled with awesomeness. I will never forget how crazy I went over its juices and fought for the biggest piece for my share l ;)

Best 10 USD I ever spent on Korean food. It had everything, from tang hoon, to brown rice, the soup even had crab, shrimps and sotong. There is also teriyaki chicken. Too much to eat, growing too fat already :(

Back in Singapore, ζ˜Ÿζ΄²η±³η²‰ is a favorite dish of mine that my family shares. Down here it adopted the Hong Kong style of cooking by adding curry powder to it. Admittedly, it is pretty delicious, slightly stronger taste than those back at home. The chef has been cooking at the same spot for over 15 years! Great to catch up with some experienced seniors here in USA.

Probably the most underrated ramen in Silicon Valley. Hidden in a food court in Japantown Santa Clara, was this self service unpretentious looking ramen. I ordered the Shio Ramen as the people who were queuing in front of me recommended against the Shoyu broth. I was amazed by the rich flavored broth that was very different from the usual salty tasting one back in Singapore. It's set meal also came with salmon bowl which has roes that burst in one's mouth!
