Got the iced long black with the Brazil coffee beans (more chocolate flavours). Moderate acidity and fragrant coffee!!! The cafe has very pretty and chill vibes, just abit inaccessible cause it is located around industrial buildings about 5-7mins walk from taiseng mrt. Not a wide range of food to choose from, only 3-4 croissants flavours. Great coffee and would love to come back again!

Beating the Monday Blues in office with my trustworthy cuppa @alchemist.sg πΏππ§π πππ©π©ππ§ ππππ ππππ©π($6.00) βπππ Don't you just love the juxtaposition of tradition and modernity in this place? ππΈπ¬
White ($5) ππππ
- There were 2 choices of beans and I went with the one with chocolate undernotes. Its a real good cup of coffee with nice flavours.
Almond Chocolate Danish ($5)ππππ
- Crisp and hot, chocolate was not too sweet. Nothing more to ask for in a danish
Environmentππ
- Seating spaces were really awkward with lounge chairs and low tables, making it really hard to eat and seats were quite limited as well.
- Service staff could be better as well, didnβt allow me and my friend to sit at the counter bar as it is for a crowd of 3 pax but allowed another couple to sit there ...
Overall: Would go back for the coffee if I am around the area, if not it is a little out of the way [4.5/5.0]

Swing by @alchemist.sg housed in a retro-looking building to get your caffeine fix. Uniquely located at Khong Guanβs former biscuit factory, I was captivated almost immediately by the sharp contrast of the red Chinese characters βεΊ·ε β coupled with old-fashioned baby blue iron grilles and pastel green wall, against the Alchemist neon blue lightings. Stepping in, I was welcomed by the minimalistic interior, which I would really love to chill my afternoon away if not for the full occupancy.
I am not a regular cold coffee person, but I was very pleased with the iced White I got. By early afternoon, they only had El Retiro from El Salvador left. I enjoyed the nice balance of acidity, described as mandarin-like, and a delicate sweetness of cane sugar. While it wasnβt an overly creamy White, the lasting roasted notes were laudable. Definitely a cafe worth checking out in Tai Seng!
