Each main came with two sides and I went for mac & cheese and onion rings. The grilled chicken thigh was juicy under a tangy lemon lime sauce. The sides added that familiar comfort and crunch. The sides gave that mix of creaminess and crunch, familiar in a way that reminded me of my student days when this was the kind of hearty, simple and still affordable meal 》$13.90

Sprinkled with real scrumptious truffle mushroom zest and parmesan cheese. A nice snack to share which was quite addictive and cheap 》$5.90

Astons does their meat well – the charred and succulent chicken basted in a peppery sauce was very tasty – however their sides fell short of the mark. My mash was almost tasteless and the onion rings were of the bog standard frozen variety.

Mac & Cheese was pretty disappointing, mashed potato also lacked flavour, but the black pepper chicken was not bad.
Dining experience was a bit marred when a wild housefly decided to take a plunge into the heart of the mac & cheese.

Grilled chicken, Vienna sausages & scrambled eggs! Along with potato salad and house salad sides. Pretty satisfying meal for $16.90. Though I doubt I would try again as the price isn't really worth for such a simple meal! We also added $5 for a bowl of mushroom soup and a bottle of Snapple.

The place was so noisy that we couldn't even hear each other well!
