I love the burst of rose fragrance when I bite into this delicate little dessert. The fact that it looks so pretty makes me feel happier hehe.

Comes with a mix of toasts and that beautiful croissant right on top, served with butter and jam.

My personal favorite is definitely the croissant. So buttery and flaky and pairs perfectly with a cup of B&C's fantastic coffee (I had a piccolo latte!). A close second is definitely their sourdough. Sliced a little too thin for comfort but still good and with that distinctive delicious tang that goes so well with butter.

I felt that their toasts were a tiny bit too chewy (maybe they could've done with a tad more toasting and browning in the oven). But the toast with the sesame seeds stood out for me too, I loved the crunch.

The trio of dips ($14.50) comes with a choice of 3 dips along with a basket of crostini which are brushed with rosemary olive oil and toasted to a crunchy perfection. My dining partner and I chose the smoky roasted pepper, hummus and tzatziki.

Oh my goodness the tzatziki was by far my favorite. It was tangy, creamy and refreshing and seasoned perfectly. There wasn't that jarring sour taste and texture I tend to associate with Greek yogurt. The smoky pepper has just the tiniest dash of heat, while the hummus is rich with a slight lemony flavor.

Overall, this is a super addictive and delicious starter but a tad messy because the crumbs from the crostini keep going everywhere. πŸ˜‚

This classic Italian filled doughnut has a soft, spongy texture, and is coated with a generous portion of white sugar crystals.

The hollow center is filled with a rich, creamy smooth, thick vanilla custard, which has a lovely floral sweet flavour. Decadent.

This is inspired by the classic Australian fairy bread.

Basically a warm soft white bread bun, spread with butter, and coated with colourful crunchy nonpareils (a rainbow candy confectionery).

Pretty to look at, fun to eat, decently tasty with a candy sweet flavour.
