The staffs here are very friendly and efficient. the queue gets cleared very quickly! The curry is thick and flavourful! Favourite eatery at upper Thomson!

It has been more than a year since I last tried and I'm glad the taste is just as how I used to love it.

The generous amount of curry and not overly expensive ($2.90 for rice, pork cutlet and cabbage)

I doubt I will ever get sick of it.

Don’t judge the taste by its looks, this not very appetising curry rice is actually yummy!

For ppl who can’t take spicy stuff, the curry is actually quite acceptable, not say very spicy...u can taste the spices and the coconut milk just bring the curry taste to a higher level, anything and everything mixed with the curry also taste nice lah (even bittergourd, ya, yes)...

I like la-la but not with bean paste, just too salty to my likings, so, wouldn’t recommend that dish...

Looks pretty similar to the one at Farrer Park whereby they've a huge pot of zhupcai, curry chicken, braised pork belly and some other ingredients (really like a mixed rice stall).

Their braised pork belly melts in the mouth! But i expected it to be better - rich in that soy sauce goodness, yet has a chewy top layer of skin. I do find their curry to be more runny compared to the original store. Their lalas are pretty plump and fresh, tossed in bean paste.

The food was not bad but aint special too. Price point was fair; braised pork, zhupcai &lalas for $4.20.

PRICE: $7 for these 2 plates consisting 2 veg + 3 meat.

In Punggol/Seng Kang, a plate of cai fan with 2 veg 1 meat would already cost $3.70

- Will order the stewed pork belly again. SO TENDER.
- Will also order the fried pork cutlet and curry veg again

I always maintain that rice is empty calories and filler food, eaten just so that it can fill the tummy, so I never bothered wasting time with any rice based dishes, but I make an exception for this. The tantalizingly rich and thick gravy that the rice and all the "liao" is drenched in is the star of the show. It is thick, creamy, fragrant and savory. I opted for the sotong, chicken cutlet, fish cutlet and sweet and sour luncheon meat in this massive plate which i devoured to every last grain of rice.
