As compared to the shank, the pork belly is softer with its layers of lean and fat breaking down under the thick herbal braise gravy. The gravy seeps into the rice, giving each bite a savoury depth. Each bowl comes with a mushroom, egg and greens which bring texture against the richness of the braise and meat 》$5.50

The pork shank is braised until tender with lean and fatty pieces that soaked up the thick herbal braise gravy. The gravy is glossy and savoury, clinging to the rice, giving each spoonful a deep and comforting flavour. Each bowl comes with mushroom, egg and greens which add balance to the richness. For the portion served, it feels value for money, hearty and satisfying for those who enjoy a thick braise. The queue stretches at times but once you dig in, the wait feels worthwhile 》$4.50

It's a decent version but rather overhyped.
Meats were cooked well, the gelatinous belly and leg were much better than their most expensive cheeks

The sauce is thick, herbal but not too sweet. Not very intense and somewhat forgettable actl

For the execution I have to say it's a good place, but is it really special in terms of the taste?

The Lu Rou Fan ($3.50) was surprisingly substantial in portion and taste wise it was also pretty good. Lots of meat in a delicious sweet dark sauce, coupled with a sizeable portion of greens make for a satisfying dish. Would return to try their other cuts of meat; the pork cheek one looks especially tantalising!

Once you reach this stall, you would find lots of people waiting around it. Unlike the traditional ordering system, you don’t rush to join any visible queue here. Because you have to collect the number plate hanging at the side of the stall first.

Then wait for your number to be called, only you make your order with them. Which they will prepare your food immediately after payment.

All their sets are standard come with Ajitsuke Tamago, Pressed Tofu, Tofu Puff, Shiitake Mushroom, Black Fungus, Vegetables and rice. Add-on is available as well.

I can see why they are so popular here, considering the portion and taste. Really enjoy the overload dark sauce with the meat.

The pork belly has really fatty texture in every pieces, but they does get a bit overwhelming at the end.

The Braised Pork Rice here is very good. Meats were tender and the sauce tasted very good.

As pictured, they very generous with the sauce

Their braised pork comes with different parts, there's pork belly, pork Cheek, pork Shank and pork Ribs.

And can add on sides like mushrooms, tofu, black fungus etc.

Chilli was explosive.

They have a queue number system, take q number first, then order when your number is called. Food is then scooped up and served almost immediately.
