From the Burpple community

I had ricotta pancakes 2 weekends in a role for brunch; one was starkly better than the other, which I’ll leave it to you to figure out? Just Kidding.. here with the clue I’m about to give: the superior came at twice the cost without burpplebeyond 😬 why would I differentiate them as so? The better rendition I could taste of ricotta and was cooked very generously in decadent butter; a comfort to the belly, indulgence on the palate.

Served on a bed of mashed potato, the dish was well seasoned and sauced that a bite produced different taste profiles that got my taste buds dancing. The octopus was nicely grilled that it was tender and chewy with a charred taste to it.

A class of semi-frozen desserts, semifreddo is a halfway between ice-cream and mousse. It was akin to a frozen nutella with a richness of ice cream and the texture of frozen mousse. The hazelnut taste was rich with the bitterness of the dark chocolate, and the added crunch from the crushed biscuits and chopped hazelnuts. It was cold chocolatey heaven! 😋

Brussel sprouts ($10++)
Get the brussell sprouts if you want some vegetables. The candied pecan and fried garlic hits the spot, and the sauce has the right amount of sweetness.

The chef also ensures a nice layer of char on its side.

Duck Ragu Tortiglioni ($25++)

Tomato sauce was well reduced to make this a dish bursting with flavour. Good too if you like your pastas al dente.

While this dish was nice, i'd recommend the gnocchi if you can only try one dish.

Gnocchi: $23++

It's hard to find good gnocchi in Singapore. Most are too flour-y while others too potato-ey. But Caffe Cicheti get theirs spot on with a perfect balance of flour and potato. Each dumpling is also pan fried to give it a charred layer.

The rich mushroom sauce too doesnt overpower the dish, with it not having the typical earthy taste of mushroom. The dish is topped with shaved parmigiano to perfectly complement the dish.
