Used Beyond’s complimentary Bao deal (Buy 3 Get 1 Free)!! So value for $$ 🤑 personal favourite was the sweet potato bao which came soft, warm and fluffy, with creamy sweet potato filling
Come try this for breakfast 👌🏼

used my burpple beyond membership to get a complimentary dim sum! very worth it and yummy :-)

Recently, I crossed the causeway for a hearty and affordable Dim Sum meal with my family!

Nestled in @RenaissanceHotelJohorBahru , Wan Li Chinese Restaurant serves up a great selection of Muslim-friendly Cantonese cuisine in a very hearty and warm ambience with friendly and attentive service.

We tried their All-You-Can-Eat Dim Sum Buffet, which is available from 1130am - 3pm daily. At RM 88 nett per pax, it includes the following selections:
Steamed Dim Sum
Fried & Baked Dim Sum
Porridge
Rice & Noodles
Vegetable
Tie Guan Yin

Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with the wide varieties of dim sum items because each and every one of the item on their dim sum list comes with a picture of it.

If you’re not a fan of buffet, ala carte options are available as well! Don’t miss out on this Cantonese restaurant the next time you’re in JB for a short holiday or doing your CNY shopping!

大家早晨!
Morning dim sum hits different, especially the homemade kind where you are spolit by the number of choices as everything looks good.
You just want to fill your belly with all these lovely vibrant sight of different colour dim sum. Hehe.
Since we gonna have a long day of eating, so we have less food here to save some stomach space for later.
What we had,
Prawn Chee Cheong Fun(RM 7)
Char Siew Chee Cheong Fun(RM 6.50)
Freshly handmade upon order using traditional way. The rice roll had a starchy and chewy texture. The soy sauce pairing is nice and the sambal is fiery. The char siew filling like quite little and give a hint sweetness while the prawn one give extra tenderness.

Glutinous Rice Chicken(RM 5.50)😋
YUM! One of the best Loh Mai Kai I had. Steamed to perfection. Moist, chewy glutinous rice over a base of glistening, savoury & saucey filling of succulent chicken meat, chinese sausage and shiitake mushroom. The sauce is really good and give most of its flavour to boost this dish.

Dim Sum pricing
Small item(RM 6)
Big item(RM 6.30)
Don't ask me which is the big or small items cause I don't know. We had the staple like Har Gow & Siew Mai and randomly picked the other two which were Tofu with Meat Topping and Chive Siew Mai.
Dim sum were generally good.
Har Gow is awesome! Thick but smooth skin. The skin easy to split off from the big tender prawn meat. The mouthfeel on point.
Siew Mai, on the other hand, was mehhhh. Standard not really there but the Chive Siew Mai was much better although the appearance very green.
Tofu with meat topping was like a comforting piece of dim sum that give a home feeling. Wobbly tofu with savoury meaty meat.

love that you get to walk around and choose dimsum from a few “stations” around the area, while bringing the hard copy paper receipt - they will tick what you’ve ordered on the paper bill

suggestion to come early (opens at 7am) and remember to get a queue number when you arrive! the restaurant is quite big so you won’t have to wait very long

I shortened the name.
This is a plate for 4 to 5 pax of some amazing kung-fu fried rice, topped with a mildly sweet serving of eel, similar to Unagi.

That's the title from the menu.
In summary, it's a collection of mushrooms and broccoli in a thick creamy abalone sauce, with gelatinous fish lips and herbs.

Gosh that's a long name.

This is part of their new and improved menu, absolutely tender chicken accompanied by a herbal and earthy broth made with the lotus this and lotus that (yes I'm tired)

Very good stuff!

RM4 per serving
The dim sums here are soooo cheap and there is so much to choose from! What's different here as compared to Singapore is that you get to choose what you like and they will steam it up on the spot and serve to your table 😻. I just wanna reach in and grab those yummies again!
