I believe this was about $60 for all the layers of goodness? Very similar concept and style to the likes of House of Chirashi at East Village which is way nearer to my place. Pretty decent for a Japanese place in the heartlands but I have something similar near me so I probably will not visit unless I’m in the vicinity.

However they do have an Omakase option which was something interesting! You can check out IG @canihaveabitepls for a more detailed review

Hana Bara ($18.80)
You won’t be able to get such a premium-tasting chirashi don at this price point anywhere else. Pictured is the ‘mini’ and yet the portion was still ridiculously generous! The assorted sashimi was definitely fresh and of good quality. Below it is fragrant japanese mushroom rice which was pretty unique. Only drawback for some people (not for me), would be that the edible flowers that decorate the bowl, though pretty, may rub off on the sashimi and give it a bit of a floral taste!

Newly opened chirashi restaurant @chirashisora at Potong Pasir helmed by former Kaunta and House of Chirashi head chef @kevin_wee_sg ✨ Their chirashi bowls are too beautiful to eat🥰 👀 they are really generous with the sashimis (to the point where we cannot finish 🫢) each piece is a slice of omakase quality cut ! 😍

The most aesthetically appealing bowl of rice; generous portion of assorted raw fish cubes, tamago, cucumber & edamame, etc; raw items are fresh & firm; love the fluffy & flavorful mushroom rice at the bottom; with wasabi & pickled ginger at the side; looks small but filling; taste good on its own without the need for soy sauce dip..

Heard about this newly opened joint by ex House of Chirashi chef @kevin_wee_sg and swiftly headed down for their $12.80 lunch opening promo! We were served with an exquisitely plated bowl piled with a colourful array of ingredients - fresh sashimi chunks, micro greens, furikake, kamaboko, sakura ebi, ikura, tobiko, edamame, cucumber, and sweet tamago. The ingredients were anchored by a unique base of kinoko mushroom gobu burdock rice, which we particularly enjoyed for its herbal undertones and light earthy flavour.

At this price point, this bowl was of immense value! All along, we’ve been fans of the for value chirashi bowls at House of Chirashi, but deterred by the original East location (and also heard their bowls have shrunk in size + increased in price 😅). Glad that Chef has opened this more conveniently located chirashi spot to go to 😋.

⚠️ Promo is available for weekday lunch until end April! Reservations are possible via link in their bio.
