More Reviews of good food at Craftsmen Specialty Coffee (Novena)

Went to Craftsmen Specialty Coffee last week and ordered their Tomyum Seafood Cremoso ($26), Crispy Chicken Burger ($20), Tata Tots ($14), an Iced Matcha Latte ($8.50), and an Iced Caramel Latte ($7.50)!๐Ÿ˜‡ There is an ongoing promotion where you can purchase their Kaizen dollars (buy $50 to get $70 worth of credits)

Overall ratings 9/10! First time at this outlet, but went to their Holland V outlet several times before. Food quality is equally good, but some things in this store were out of stock, maybe cuz we arrived at 1.45pm, and hence they did do quite a few replacements (e.g. salted caramel latte oos changed to caramel latte, squid in pasta oos so they changed it to scallops๐Ÿ˜…) Would visit other outlets in the future to try it out too๐Ÿ˜

White Wine Prawn Pasta ($21): a hearty plate! ๐Ÿ’ฏ Featuring spaghetti ๐Ÿ, huge springy sea prawns ๐Ÿฆ, white wine ๐Ÿฅ‚, edamame, cherry tomatoes ๐Ÿ…, shaved cheese ๐Ÿง€, chilli flakes ๐ŸŒถ & parsley, it was a burst of flavours in every bite! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Sesame Chicken Wing ($11 for 5pcs): a classic side, the wings ๐Ÿ” were well-marinated! โœ” Comes with mesclun salad & sesame dressing ๐Ÿ˜‹

Chef's Salad ($21): my kind of healthy eat! ๐Ÿ’š Featuring grilled cornfed chicken thigh ๐Ÿ—, cherry tomatoes ๐Ÿ…, mescluns ๐Ÿฅฌ, beetroots, roasted nuts, crispy bacon bits ๐Ÿฅ“, avocado ๐Ÿฅ‘, shaved cheese ๐Ÿง€, pomegranates, croutons & a perfectly runny poached egg ๐Ÿฅš, drizzle on their Japanese soy dressing for a guilt-free indulgence! โœŒ๐Ÿป

Craftsmen isnโ€™t new to us, but have enjoyed every visit regardless of the outlet we go to. The service is always friendly and exceptional, food and vibes are great. Hereโ€™s the truffle scrambled egg mushroom atop toasted sourdough, with feta cheese and pea sprouts ($20). Comfort food๐Ÿคค

Note that the cafe only charges GST, no service charge. Perfect place for meetups and a good weekend brunchโ˜บ๏ธ

Had a team lunch at this buzzling cafe located at a corner near United Square at Novena.

The food portion is rather generous and they serve really fast.

Very satisfied with all orders except for the truffle mushroom croissant which could be bigger is size and richer in taste.

Would definitely come back again(:

The bacon was indeed crispy. Waffles were soft and fluffy. But the portion ended up being a tad too gigantic.

spaghetti, sea prawns, white wine, edamame, cherry tomatoes, shaved cheese, chili flakes, parsley

buttermilk waffles, seasalt caramel ice cream, salted gula melaka drizzle, roasted nuts, berries

Sharing with you to a whole new menu exclusively at @CraftsmenSpecialtyCoffee at Mohd Sultan! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Opens daily from 7.30am to 9pm, you can grab your perfect breakfast, lunch, tea-break & even dinner here! โœ” Expect new & different brunches, mains & burgers from other Craftsmen outlets! In particular, they have newly introduced tacos upon customersโ€™ request! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
.
We tried the Tacos with Moroccan Chicken fillings ($20), which fans of Mexican food will be delighted with! ๐Ÿ’ฏ Taco shells that are crisp on the edges encases a generous portion of well-seasoned chicken cubes ๐Ÿ“, accompanied by refreshing coleslaw, creamy guacamole ๐Ÿฅ‘, sweet baked beans, spicy jalapeรฑos ๐ŸŒถ, chipotle sauce & melted cheese ๐Ÿง€! Certainly an indulgent treat that promises a burst of flavours in every bite! ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹ Served with crunchy tortilla chips with a light dust of paprika seasoning - perfect for munching! โœŒ๐Ÿป
.
There is also a choice of pulled pork ๐Ÿ–, sauteed mushrooms ๐Ÿ„, ribeye steak (+$10) ๐Ÿฅฉ or mixed fillings (+$2). If you like it in a fuss-free wrap, go for their burrito ($23) that would be equally loaded. ๐ŸŒฏ

I wanted something really refreshing and high volume before working out so I got this salad bowl ($17) from Craftsmen Specialty Coffee.

The salad was a generous helping of mesclun greens and pea sprouts. The toppings of fresh pomegranate and mandarin orange slices added a fruity sweetness to the salad. There was also beetroot slices and roasted mushroom in the salad, adding to the texture and color in what would otherwise be a very boring salad. The crowning glory was the feta cheese along with the drizzle of balsamic vinaigrette on top. It was the first time I had feta and I was totally blown away by the way its creamy and salty flavor elevated the salad with the vinaigrette. My dining partner had ordered extra feta ($5), it was so good to sprinkle some of that additional feta on top of my salad. Thank you Craftsmen for showing how a non-boring salad should be done.

We also had an additional order of cheesy scrambled egg ($5) and there was actually a cheese pull when I yanked out a portion of the creamy scrambled eggs. Buttery, bright yellow, cheesy, rich scrambled eggs are absolute perfection. :) worth every dollar!

I also had a Regular iced Cold Brew ($6) and while I was quite disappointed by its 8oz size, it was pretty flavorful. Not the best cold brew out there, but still very satisfactory. A really lovely lunch/brunch place I would love to continue to patronize.

8.5/10

Tried their roasted almond and butterscotch latte. Not too bad but a bit sweet. Perhaps an extra shot will be better.

@craftsmenspecialtycoffee is still one of our places to go over many years, for their coffee and food of cos.
We enjoy their brunch items with a range of options to go with those egg and bacon combination. Put the maple syrup aside, bโ€™cos their savoury waffles went really well with scrambled egg, bacon and diced tomato. For sandwiches, their 3-Tier brioche with a slight spiciness in the creamy hollandaise has always been one of our favourite items.
Their croissants were also a tasty range, on their own or with your usual breakfast combinations. A note to share that their portions were rather big, great for big appetites or just ready for a really hearty meal.

Coffee was pretty good, and a nice place tucked at the corner good to chill! A little on the pricey side, but a nice coffee treat once in a while is good for the soul

This is another hearty and beautiful dish by Craftsmen. Once again, everything is generous, generous and generous. The brioche is thick, the smashed avo is satisfyingly creamy, the smoked salmon ain't a pathetic 2-slice, and everything is drenched in their signature sauce that I love most about this dish - it's tangy with mild kicks of spice, which works great for providing a flavour boost.

When you can't decide on what to get from their extensive menu (it's worse when everything sounds delicious), the Craftsmen Full Veggie Breakfast sans processed meat is your best bet. With 2 eggs of choice on toast, sauteed mushrooms, grilled halloumi (argh so good), baked beans, tomato salsa, smashed avocado (oh they're generous with it) and salad in balsamic olive dressing, this dish is bound to fill you up and leave you belly happy.

This is $22 or $24 if I'm not wrong, but it's gonna be worth your money.
