🫘 Petite Red Bean Paste with Tangerine Peel Rice Dumpling ($8.80/5pcs): a sweet snack! Dotted with not-too-sweet homemade red bean paste ❤️ infused with the scent of quality aged tangerine peel 🍊 with a citrusy note, this dessert dumpling was delightful!

🐔 Scallion Oil Chicken with Preserved Vegetable Cai Po Rice Dumpling ($8.80): reminiscent of our local chicken rice 🇸🇬, the homemade scallion oil adds an alluring note to this unassuming rendition! 🤤

The three fine-dining restaurants under the group, namely Crystal Jade Golden Palace, Palace and Pavilion, will feature several highlights from 13 April to 31 May such as the Chilled Boneless Kampung Chicken with Scallion & Sand Ginger ($36/$70) that was so good with rice, the ultra comforting Stewed Chinese Yam Vermicelli with Sesame Chicken & Shredded Ginger ($32) or the Hakka Grandma’s Pork Belly with Preserved Vegetables served with Lotus Bun ($28, 4 pieces). The Steamed Whole Deboned Fish Wrapped in Crystal Jelly in Teochew style (seasonal price) is a dish that looks and tastes healthy, that you instantly feel rejuvenated from eating it.

The other casual dining concepts such as Crystal Jade Hong Kong Kitchen will showcase a trio of dim sum such as the Deep-fried Beancurd Roll with Pork Floss and Seaweed ($7.80, 3 pieces) and the addictive Deep-fried Assorted Mushroom and Lotus Root with Chef’s Special Spicy Cumin Powder ($16.80).

Opt for an inventive Braised Abalone with Sea Cucumber, Fish Maw & Conpoy on Crispy Hor Fun 蚝皇发财鲍罗万有脆河粉 ($68 per regular portion) which features an expertly deep-fried disc of flat rice noodle sheets crowned with an abalone sauce-based gravy brimming with ingredients – the ‘hor fun’ softens slightly as the gravy soaks through but remain just that little bit crisp.

Another of my favourite is their Poached Wild Soon Hock in Pickled Tomato Soup ($16 per 100g)! ❤️ Featuring live ‘soon hock’ 🐟 cooked in fresh tomato-based soup 🍅, this makes the perfect comfort food! Available at Crystal Jade Palace!

I like how light their Golden Harvest Sea Cucumber Yu Sheng was ($208/Large, $138/Small)! 😋 With crunchy frisée lettuce 🥬 as the base together with cucumber & ice plant, this rendition also comprises carrots 🥕, jellyfish head, roasted peanuts 🥜 & cashews! Well-braised Australian sea cucumber & superior soy sauce-based dressing seals the deal! ✔️ Have this at all Crystal Jade's fine dining restaurants!

Featured here is their Bountiful Abalone Treasure Pot ($393.80), a CNY quintessential available for takeaway! 🛍 The top layer comprises 10 goodies such as 8-head Abalone ✨️, Sea Cucumber, Fish Roe Money Bag 💰, Prawn 🦐 & Scallop. Dig down to the bottom to unveil the bottom layer comprising 9 ingredients such as Roasted Pork Belly 🐖, Duck Web 🦆, Yam 🍠 & Chinese Cabbage.

The group’s portfolio of restaurants will be offering a series of festive dishes starting with the Golden Harvest Sea Cucumber Yu Sheng ($138/$208), that is available at all the fine dining concepts. Get into a prosperity toss with the Shunde-inspired savoury yu sheng that is made up of marinated Australian sea cucumber with various textural bites of jellyfish head, fresh lily bulb, Japanese cucumber, coral lettuce and more. From Crystal Jade Palace is the Poached Wild Soon Hock in Pickled Tomato Soup ($16/100g) that comes in a tangy broth that will whet your appetite for the dishes to come. There is also the Dang Gui Crispy Salted Chicken ($19.80 half, $36.80 whole) that is available only at Crystal Jade HK Kitchen, La Mian Xiao Long Bao and Jiang Nan.

If you are having your reunion meal at the comfort of your home, you can consider the Bountiful Abalone Treasure Pot ($393.80, small) that is good for 5-7 pax. The 2023 peng cai from Crystal Jade is layered with 20 premium ingredients such as 8-head abalone, Australian sea cucumber, fresh prawns as well as the classics of roasted pork, pork knuckle, shiitake mushroom and more, all braised in a full-bodied umami thick sauce. By ordering this pot, you can already have a feast as you scoop up some of the braised items onto some white rice, before drenching it with more of that liquid gold sauce.

End off your meal on a sweet note at Crystal Jade Palace with this 🆕️ Chilled Beancurd with Ginger Osmanthus Syrup ($8.80++)! 😍

Really enjoyed the silky-smooth homemade soymilk beancurd 🤍! It is topped with grated ginger for some slight spice 🔥 but if you are not a fan of ginger like me, you can easily remove it 🤭. Drizzle some of the molasses-like syrup tinged with the slight heat of ginger & floral fragrance of osmanthus flower 🌼.

Served with a bed of ice 🧊, the dessert is kept chilled - definitely a treat!

生拆蟹皇捞官燕配金华火腿 ($88.00++ per person). A trinity of superior bird’s nest, fresh crab roe and jellyfish served with a bowl of piping-hot broth permeated with the savoury nuances of quality Jinhua ham. You are encouraged to enjoy mouthfuls of the bird’s nest between sips of soup.

Closer to our hearts is their Mee Pok tossed with XO Sauce & Crispy Pork Lardon served with Crackling Pork Belly ($28++)! 🍜 I was never a fan of pork lard but they made me a convert! 💯 A taste of tradition & quality!
