I always remembered Eighteen Chefs fondly as a food chain which whips up affordable Singaporean fusion pasta especially catered to young teenagers. I would go there for meals in secondary school, and found their student meals so worth it. Fast forward to today, their standards have fallen short of the expectations they had set almost a whole 7 years ago.
My go to would always to Build my own Pasta with a choice of spicy garlic sauce. However, the flavour is more spicy than garlicy, with the texture more sticky than smooth in this bowl. For the price, the ingredients were pathetic as well.
FYI, they have updated their menu, so less popular favourites of people such as creamy mango are taken away, and replaced with new flavours like savoury peanut and chilli crab. The updated menu for students/NSF doesn’t give an additional free ingredient, making it less affordable now.
We also waited so long our meal.. considering how I’ve been in more crowded Eighteen Chefs and got my food faster.
