Nothing fantastic. Decent.

Just to have your char kway teow fix as and when have cravings

Well charred kuay teow! Black sauce was sufficient too. Very nice !!

$3! Stall has been around for ages! CKT isn’t extremely moist but also not cloyingly sweet either. Really decent!

Despite the stall name, it's the Carrot Cake (from $2.50) that our Burpple Tastemakers are raving about. If you like your chai tow kway chunky and saucy, then this might just be the one for you. Burpple Tastemaker Amanda Liu loves how the carrot cake is cut into larger, chunky pieces, which gave her the luxury of choice for eating whole and cutting into smaller pieces on her own. On top of that, the sweet black sauce is well balanced, and the hawker is generous on both the pickled radish and eggs, making this one of her top choices for a hearty breakfast or a lighter lunch.
Avg Price: $5 per person

It’s not everyday that you see irregularly large chunks of carrot cake being stir fried together, and that’s one reason why I loved the ones from here (apart from the fact that it’s really cheap)!

Most stores would chop them up into tiny pieces to make it easy to pick up and chew on but I love how chunky these pieces are, giving you the luxury of having them whole or cut them up into smaller pieces.

Mixed with their sweet sauce concoction, chilli & a generous portion of caipoh (pickled radish) & eggs, you’re in for a simple yet satisfying dish to kick start your day, or munch on over lunch.

I bought the $3.00 portion, but one of the only places in Singapore where you can get good Fried Kway Teow at $2.50 and Sugarcane at $0.70. (Rating:😁)
