saw a long q as we approached the stall at around 1 plus on a sunday. queued for around 30 mins.
we ordered the tom yum maggi mee with fried fish. the fried fish remained abit crispy after being soaked in the soup. the tom yum packs a punch, sour and spicy. very flavorful and keeps you wanting more. this meal was super comforting
Added $1.50 for a bowl of fried egg
Every bowl is made on the spot upon order, so rest assured that your maggie mee will come al dente, still crispy and chewy. We were first taken aback by the non-conventional ingredients in the bowl - fresh lime and tofu like an authentic bowl of Tom Yam! And indeed, the Tom Yam soup was not diluted but instead packed so much flavour in just a single sip. They are not playing around as they have taken BOTH the spiciness and sourness up a notch, so be warned to take it slow or it might go down the strong way.

Hot Spot Cafe Restaurant has been on my radar ever since I saw posts on social media highly recommending their Tom Yum Fish Soup. I finally got to try their popular specialty and other zichar dishes on their menu via delivery recently. Here’s what I ordered:
~Curry Fish Head
~Double Fish Tom Yum Soup w/ Ou Mifen
~Deep Fried Pork Belly w/ Garlic
~Stir-Fried French Bean w/ Shrimp
The reviews were spot on in regard to their Tom Yum Fish Soup. The Tom Yum broth was super shiok; so robust and flavourful! As for the fish, I personally preferred the fried fish and would order just the fried fish next time. We loved the Curry Fish Head too! The curry was really rich and appetising, and went well with rice. The Deep Fried Pork Belly w/ Garlic deserves a special mention too – so crispy and fragrant!

As an adorer of anything spicy and savoury, this tom yum fish soup was always on my food list. Good to visit especially on the cold rainy day for a ‘kick’ of hot & spicy food. The mee hoon kway is chewy and the soup spiciness & sourness combination truly shiokk.

Price: $6.40
Sorry, just not worth it. I’d rather have Beef Hor Fun at Wing Seong Fatty’s Restaurant (just next door).
This plate of beef kway teow was oily and lacks the wok hey.
Keep this spot in mind for cooler days, the double whammy of tom yum and piping hot fish soup will make you sweat! Join the queue and start thinking about which noodle type you'd like. There are nine to choose from, including ban mian, you mian and dong fen. To pair with the Tom Yum Double Fish ($5.40), we recommend the instant noodles. Just think about it: sweet fish broth beautifully spiced with tom yum, thick fish slices and springy instant noodles. Love! There's also a Mixed Seafood option ($6.40) that includes squid and prawns.
