Didn't really like this, quite tasteless

I don't like this system of serving sushi as well. No one knows which is who's when they serve everything on a plate and it's really confusing. Best bet is just one person order. Then next person takes his time and slowly look at the massive menu and only press order when the previous guy's come. Else they serve everything tgt on the same plate. If someone has a brilliant idea on how to work around this problem please lemme know

The salt is delicious. U can really taste it when you dab some and chew on the octopus

Much less satisfying than one huge piece of meat, but still decent nonetheless. It's normally raw as well

(asked for it to be torched)This came more torched than previously and it's still delicious. The garlicky tang really amped the umami, lovely stuff. It's very shiok cos there's quite a lot of meat

At $24, it is worth every bite! taste the sea and the harvest in your mouth. Just wish the dish will never end. sigh..

really think this is one of the best sushi places around sg!! for an affordable enough price, you get extremely fresh and thick slices of sushi fish, and the rice to fish ratio is 💯💯, where you get nice chunks of fish with every bite (unlike other places where it’s more rice than anything else). even though they sell their sushi by one piece, which may result in your overall bill being more expensive, i think it’s worth it for the quality you are getting, and it also leaves you with more stomach space to try other items from their wide menu selection!! great place will definitely be back, bonus: there’s free green tea if you spend more than $10 lol

Avocado wrapped around sushi roll with fried lotus root, aburi salmon and passion fruit sauce 》$9

The fried lotus root did gave the entire dish a nice crunch with the passion fruit sauce adding a more refreshing flavor to the palate.

Seasoned jellyfish 》$6.50

I felt that while this was crunchy and nicely seasoned, it was a tad too dry for my liking. I should probably just stick to other items on the menu.

Lobster wasn't particularly tasty but the strong curry seasoning overwhelmed everything. Not really recommended unless you have a craving for curry

Surprisingly fresh from the spring onions, the mentaiko actually didn't cover up the taste from the spring onions. The cod fish was lacking in flavour though despite being rather soft

Seems more Iike it's torched though.

This is legit wagyu and that's reason enough to get it. Everything wagyu claims to be, from the incredible fattiness, yet surprisingly not greasy, to the otherworldly softness that is decidedly uncharacteristic of beef. Ask for it to be torched more so that the fat melts and there's more smokiness, though with this kind of marbling it's hard to go wrong

Not spicy and can't even really taste anything apart from the slightly crispy inari

Really umami even though the rice is slightly dry. The heat is noticeable but complimentary to the sauce. Scallops werent very bouncy but the surprising molten egg was good

They are now running a sushi king contest among chefs from different branches and this was the creation from Ion Orchard. While it was well executed, it's too cheesy where it gets abit jelat for 2 to share. Maybe it works better for cheese lovers. Do cater an estimated preparation time of 30mins》$9 (U.P $10)

I was so impressed with this dish! Warm al dente udon with bite, soaked in rich squid ink paste with slices of fresh chewy squid and crunchy salmon roe that bursts in your mouth for that full on umami kick. Truly comfort food that is not too overwhelming or salty.

😀
I tried the Spicy Salmon with Crab Stick & Egg Roll Mentaiko Mayo sauce ($7.80). It was very soft & moist and I like the light taste & love the crispy flakes. The salmon was well mixed with the rice but wish it was spicier
😀
NZ Beef Tenderloin Teppanyaki with Black Truffle (promotion at $13.60) was good! Beef cubes were tender & juicy
😀
Only downside would be the seats are very close & thus you could hear the conversations of your neighbors very clearly. Guess it’s a place for you to fill your tummy but not over intimate conversations. Nevertheless, I’m still coming back as there’re so many other yummy items on the menu that I want to try!

Finally I am able to understand the reason why there is always a long queue at the Tampines Mall outlet. Their roasted salmon skin sushi with cod fish carviar mayo is super legit 👍, it melt my heart instantly after placing it into my mouth. I would say that this will definitely be another fave place to satisfy my salmon craving 😋. 📍 Itacho Sushi [Tampines Mall]
