Jekyll & Hyde

1586 Wishlisted
~$40/pax
The bar is clad in deep wood and stone finishes, managing to appear both polished and raw at the same time, in a tribute to the dual personalities from which its name is derived. This ethos is immediately apparent in the bar’s offerings. You won’t soon be finding your standard, run-of-the-mill cocktails; in their place on the menu are unusual, custom concoctions that pair unique flavors and ingredients unlike anywhere else. Jekyll & Hyde encourages its patrons to communicate their beverage preferences in a concerted effort to serve what resident mixologist and cocktail genius Jeff Ho (formerly of Bar Stories acclaim) promises to be an off the menu, fully customized drink. “Everyone has a unique palette and we want to make sure that your drink is exactly what you, and only you, would want”, he adds.

I rly liked this drink bc it’s kinda spicy but sweet and slightly sour at the same time n I love the smell of the rosemary too mmm. Maybe would have been even btr if it were slightly spicier haha

The black sesame and Apple of my eye truly met the menu’s descriptions! Unique cocktails not to miss!

Ginger Essence foam on top and monkey shoulder whiskey below. Interesting pairing it was spicy n sweet all at once!

Apple of my eye cocktail rly tastes like an apple pie, kinda christmassy vibes I liked it! The bar is lovely too chill ambience n get the bar seats bc then u get to see the Bartenders in action n it’s pretty dope! Rly skillz man. Lady in red cocktail was nice too v refreshing.

An Unusual Wake Up Call is, well, unusual, given the ingredients used to make up this concoction. Comprising of Hendrick’s Gin, Lime Juice, Rosemary Syrup, Egg White and Chili Padi, some may frown at the thought of a spicy cocktail, but their rendition here is bound to make you think twice. At the first sip, the gin and chili blended together nicely, but soon that slow, slight hint of chilli that flowed down my throat was warming and exciting. The heat wasn’t too much till it put my mouth on fire, but just enough to make known its presence. An Unusual Wake Up Call indeed.⁣

Thanks jekyllandhyde.sg for the hospitality, and burpple for the invite!⁣⁣⁣

I like to think of this as a local version of an espresso martini, with coffee infused scotch, maple syrup, cardamom bitters and stout reduction foam cleverly approximating the buttery sugary bitterness of kopi, all served in an old skool cup and saucer lined endearingly with iced gem biscuits.

Thanks @burpple for the invite and @jekyllandhyde.sg for hosting!
