All dishes here are freshly made to order, with the wok hei game going strong. All the items in the menu are under $10, I'll definitely be back for more fresh and authentic Thai Food.

Freshly made Hong Kong style Chee Cheong Fun at Pek Kio is definitely one of the best steamed rice rolls around in Singapore. Silky, soft and piping hot rice rolls skin drenched with light savoury soya sauce, with a choice of fillings such as char-siew ($3.50) prawns ($4.50), scallops ($5.50) or you can simply eat it plain ($2.70) on its own.

Im grateful for us having cheap and good hawker food around in SG. I'm heading to Hong Kong next month, if you have any must-try recommendations, do let me know in the comments below. 😃

Free-flow crabs over a long dinner after a tiring day of work is perhaps the best way to reward yourself. Other than Crabs, they also have a wide selection of seafood on ice which includes baby lobsters, prawns, flower crabs and many more. You can also expect a wonderful array of Asian and Western specials which includes Seafood Paella, Drunken Prawn in Herbal
Wine Stock and many more.

Oh ya! Did I forget to mention that they also have a pretty impressive dessert station with strawberry fondue! Overall a great buffet with wide selection and at reasonable price! We are belly-happy after the meal! 😋

Black Truffle Crispy Roast Duck ($38); Half whole duck infused with a dose of black truffle, the meat was tender and juicy. Good to share between 3 to 4 pax.

XO Fried Crystal Vermicelli with Lobster Meat ($24); Extremely flavourful dish with huge chunks of lobster meat. The Wok Hei game here is definitely strong.

Mitzo Special Barbecued Pork ($18); Signature dish at this restaurant, where most people purpose is to try the BBQ pork here. The exterior was perfectly caramelised with the inner meat having the right ratio of meat to fats. Extremely addictive!

Thanks to my lovely wife @meilingsml for bringing me here! 😃

Fresh Boston Lobster ($29.90), where you pick your catch and bring it to them to cook ($8 cooking fee)

Quite an interesting experience. 😃

Definitely a great place to chill in the evenings when you just need to unwind.

Plenty of interesting drinks on the menu to explore. We tried out The Go(o)d Father and their Kopi-O Fashioned. Both were really good! The former was nice and sweet, courtesy of infusing Ron Zacapa 23 Rum (Yum!) with Lagavulin 16 Single Malt and Amaretto. How can that not taste good? The Kopi-O Fashioned looked nostalgic and definitely brought out the coffeeholic in me! Coffee infused scotch with Guinness Stout reduction. Not a fan of Guinness but boy did this taste good!! Will definitely be back to try more of their offerings.

Ordered the Salmon & Chicken ($7.20) today and was surprised to receive a rewards card.
Understand from the staff that I would need to collect 8 stamps, and every main dish ordered would earn me one stamp. After collecting all 8 stamps and receipts, I would need to scan the QR code to pre-register at pepperlunch.campaign.sg to secure my slot to unlock amazing prizes that includes iPhone XS, Samsung S10 & more! How exciting! So what are you guys waiting for? 😄 #pepperlunchsg #sizzlinghotprizes #sp

The 4th edition of The Fifty Cents Fest sees the beloved festival go for a Hokkien theme this year.

Everything is priced from a humble S$0.50 to no more than S$3.00, and visitors will get to taste traditional Hokkien dishes – some of which are rare finds these days!

Some of the ideas that we found really value for money includes:
Kong Ba Bao/ Braised Pork Belly Bun (2 x $0.50)
Buddha Jumps Over The Wall (6 x $0.50)
Fried Black Hokkien Noodles 福建炒面 (2 x $0.50)
Oyster Cake ($0.50)
Red Date Drink ($0.50)

Some of these finds, including the Buddha Jump over the Wall and Fried Hokkien Mee can only be found tucked away in a corner of Chinatown Food Street, in a hidden Hokkien roadside stall. So... keep your eyes peeled for it!

Venue: Chinatown Food Street, Smith Street, Singapore 058938

Thank you @wom_sgpr and @chinatownfoodstreet for the invite and hospitality. #the50centsfest

Handcrafted hand pulled noodles (拉面) and Knife-shaved noodles (刀削面) by former Crystal Jade Senior Chef and are reasonably priced at $5 per 🍜. My favourite would be the Ma-la Pork noodles, while got kick, but it's not too spicy and it gives you a numbing after-taste. I like the texture of the noodles and the braised pork has the right ratio of meat to fats. If you prefer the healthier and dry option, you can try the tomato egg noodles.

I visit this place for lunch at least twice a week, and this is definitely something I would strongly recommend to you. 😋

One of my favourite is Mille-feuille katsu set ($26.80) and Omurice Curry ($16). The Mille feuille katsu boasts 16 layers of pork while the curry is a curation of specially curated recipe from Yoshimi made using a blend of over 15 herbs and spices.

Dessert lovers like me can also end the gourmet sessions with sweet such as mixed berry pancake and Hokkaido soft serve ice cream.

To celebrate SORA's new outlet opening at Terminal 1, dine at either outlet at T1 & T2, spend a minimum of $50 in a single receipt to stand a chance to win a pair of ANA tickets to Japan.

Thanks @brandcellar for the invitation and @japangourmethallsora for having us.

Hawkerman is definitely my kind of Superhero!

For first timers to Hawkerman, I would suggest you to order the Bao-Ka-liao platter ($32.90++) that serves 2 to 3 pax and it includes 7 items such as Tenderfresh's Signature Crispy Fried Half Spring Chicken, Hokkien Mee, Popiah, XO Carrot Cake etc. Everything especially the hokkien mee is best eaten when it's hot. Value for money platter that allows you to sample a wide variety of hawker food.

Another fav dish of mine is the Yuan Yang Carrot Cake ($6.90) which is essentially carbonara styled carrot cake with turkey bacon and XO sauce carrot cake. When it's eaten hot, it's really shiok!

Thanks @singaporefoodlisting for the invitation and @hawkermansg for having us!

They even have a menu dated in 1930 to prove it (Swipe Left) and the owner mentioned to us that the items on the menu is still available today.

It was an excellent meal and I really enjoyed every dish that was served to us. I really can't pick any favourite dish as all are equally good! An ideal place to bring your family especially the elderly in the family to dine.

They also offer the option to cook your private recipes upon request but this would require you to place the order earlier for the chef to prepare the meal.

It's also available for all types of events and banquets and it can seat up to 80 guests.

Menu of the day;
Teochew Steam Pomfret
Four Varieties Combination
Crispy Boneless Chicken
Fried Oyster Omelette
House Special Sliced Goose
Braised Tofu with Prawns
Yam and Sweet Potatoes (Dessert)
