Another new restaurant here at the basement of Hong Leong Building. Chef Teppei Yamashita opened another venture here with udon specialised restaurant. Serving up Hakata-style udon from Fukuoka.

Gobo Ten Udon is one of their signature item, topped with Burdock Tempura with udon soup base. Personally I would recommend you to get a side dish to complete your meal here. $12+

Lunch / 31 July 2018: rice bowl featuring aromatic rice topped basil beef, onsen egg, mushrooms, apple jelly with a side of salted egg sauce and lots of amusement coming from the young enterprising hawker-students who really behave like bengs. Worth a try!

Stewed beef so tender, it almost melts in your mouth 😍❤️ This is definitely a must-order on their menu. Very flavorful & umami. Would recommend ordering a bowl of rice to go w it & soak up all that amazing sauce. Yummeh!

Located within Viva Business Park in Chai Chee, this Halal-certified restaurant is a great go-to when you're in the mood for Korean. On rainy days, it's a no brainer to go for the Budae Jjigae (army stew, $45.90). Good to share among two or three diners, the pot comes with heaping portions of ingredients including chicken, ham, sausage, rice cakes, ramen and kimchi, and the broth boils beautifully down into a lip-smackingly flavourful stew. The restaurant doesn't serve ban chan (side dishes) so you might want to order classic dishes like the Kimchi Jeon (kimchi pancake, $16) to share.

Oiishii Beef Don. The dish comes with a generous amount of short grain rice that’s topped with a simple assembly of spicy beef slices, cabbage, cucumbers slices, as well as seaweed flakes and chopped spring onions.

They have opened a new outlet at suntec! From 1 Aug to 31 aug 2018, all rice and ramen dishes are going at $8 nett! What a steal! So instead of the usual jijidon (u.p. $10) that we have been going for the last two times, we had the ramen dishes today! Beef ramen (u.p. $16.50) and chicken char siew ramen (u.p. $13.50). I must say compared to our favourite jijidon, this didn't have alot of meat (jiji don comes with 3 winglets, teriyaki chicken cubes and many slices of kimchi chicken?) There were only 4 small slices of chicken charsiew. And the ramen isn't the kind that you will expect in those Japanese ramen stall, but not exactly like maggimee kind, so it was still alright. #burpple #burpplesg #omoomo #omoomofoodconcepts

It is really rare to see a Halal Japanese food in hawker centre like this one. Big Bowls Project is a 100% Muslim-owned stall in Amoy Street Food Centre, that focus only on salmon.

Consider healthy choice as they use brown rice. Perfect for those who love to eat salmon without hurting your pocket. $7.90

The skill of frying does not lose out to others, but the rice could do with more tendon sauce. I also love the veggies selection (The Seaweed...) here more than the others. And there is no queue. Pro tip : 10% off for IG followers.

The ingredients are not compromised, they are air-flown from Japan directly. 👍🏻 It comes in 3 flavours; matcha, black sesame and soy bean 😋😋😋 And yay! You get to try all 3 yummy flavours in one serving. Happy Friyay everyone 🎉 .

Yup, I went back for my chicken karaage. Had it with miso ramen + gyoza. The default filling for their gyoza is fish, which tasted like sardines, which I didn't like and will not be ordering again.

While settling the bill, I told the waiter I always struggle to finish the ramen because the portion is too much for me. He said that I can order a mini serving of their ramen bowl. Sianz. I only saw mini rice bowls on the menu, I thought they didn't have that for ramen. Chawanmushi is also available but not listed in the menu. Errr ok.

The grilled saba at 38 Sabar is one of the best I've had. It's fresh, and grilled till skin is crispy, while flesh is very tender and fatty. This set is value for money, given such a big piece of saba which the restaurant claimed would be at least 38cm long. The lunch set also came with senbei cracked soup, rice sourced from Yamagata, pickles and tofu.

There's also a $38++ whole mega saba to share between two person, which is really MEGA. After knowing that it's this good, I should have ordered the mega whole saba instead!
