This is one of the best luncheon I ever had in the CBD, especially the raviloes was made to perfection. And the intense flavour of the chocolate pot was to die for! We were super stuffed with satisfaction.
Skewers of sorts, this was prefect if you want to try a bit of everything. I love the meats here. Well executed - the beef, we had requested for medium rare and mamma mia, it came out just as we had ordered. So good and juicy. Those potatoes are evil. Pure evil. So addictive that once you start you canāt stop. Donāt say I didnāt warn you.
Happy Birthday Singapore! šøš¬ Whatās a better way than to enjoy a good nostalgic tea break with your loved one? After the closing of Chin Mee Chin, I guess this would be my choice to come to for an old school kaya toast treat.
Itās so satisfying just by looking at them toast the buns till fluffy with crispy edges, and the smearing of a thick traditional Hainanese Kaya. The donut was pretty decent too, not as greasy and sweet as the traditional types which I would have preferred, but thatās just the unhealthy me. I loved my yuan yang while the boyf was happy with his Kopi gao. Could almost imagine them filtering with the traditional coffee sock filter in those metal cans!
A decent filling breakfast.
Eggs came piping hot sandwiched in between melted cheddar cheese and crispy hash brown.
Do note that this comes with free coffee or tea during breakfast hours!
Had the cheeseburger because of the $10 burger deals on tuesday (non inclusive of GST). Meat was juicy and burger portion was just nice. Only thing lacking was some fries to go along with the burger to complete the meal.
Finally had the mood to queue for this bowl of gem at the keisuke-dominant tanjong district. Japanese rice base topped with pipping hot deep-fried prawn and chicken, vege of the day consists of pumpkin, long bean and shiitake mushroom. Definitely worth a mention is the deep-fried onsen egg. Who in the earth can have a flowing egg yolk after deep frying it! And thatās here at Ginza Itsuki! Another notable mention is that i managed to finish all the fried stuff and my side plate that i placed all my fried food was still quite clean after the meal.
Wow. There are two options for the set lunch ($27 for 2, $32 for 3-course), of which one is this stupendously good steak. Of course, bochinche's known for the quality of their meats, and the cookery was so perfect over the flames right in front of you. With the right amount of sea salt flakes and the super light wedges on the side, I haven't had a steak this good at this price ever. It comes with a tasty chimichurri mayo on the side, which goes very well with everything, but is also not needed since the beef on its own makes your eyes roll back. If you're eating in a pair, please share this and the other main option, the Prawn & Scallop Open Lasagna that's excellent too. I'll be dreaming of this steak.
Iām not an unagi person, yet the first bite really changed me. Despite of the usual soggy and slimy unagi, this one is crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside. Good enough to make me go crazy head over heels for this bowl. (Ps: I like it more when I eat it with soup!)
Happy National Day Singapore! šøš¬ While everybody watches the fireworks, I shall indulge in my favorite Tendon bowl with the crispy and light tempura batter āŗļø
