Little Vietnam:
1) Spring Rolls($5.50) - 8.25/10 Umami burst of flavor, crunchy. Shiok with sweet chili oil is good with the spring rolls. Reminds me Abit of yam rings.
2) Pho Dac Biet ($8.80) - 7.75/10 Beef fats is shiok,chewy. Beef ball is handmade,tender. Noodles are chewy, soft enuf. Macam eating a full beef. Got one part of the beef which is tough tho.
3) Soupsop drink($4.30) - I think I figured that I can't appreciate the flesh of soursop. The drink was ok.

Though it still commands a premium price as opposed to other Vietnamese eateries, the crowd seems to still be supporting them. However, this is as what the name says, a little Vietnam, and if you want a true authentic Vietnamese dining experience, you will probably get more of it elsewhere. The only saving grace for us was probably the unique lineup of beverages such as iced salty lemon, blended soursop and even iced tamarind.

Chanced upon this food gem when I was searching for a place to eat through Google Maps. Got attracted by their 4.3⭐️ ratings with close to 1000 reviews!

Pretty decent Bun Cha I must say, but their Cha Gio far exceeded my expectations👍. Please make sure you order them😋

Stew beef with tapioca noodles ($8.90). This place wins with it's fresh al fresco dining (windy breeze along the canal) especially at night. It's a no frills Viet place serving a wide variety, and you can expect to get your orders in <5 mins. This bowl was slightly spicier than I expected. Currently in a stew beef noodle phase having had this twice in two days.

Alil pity my favourite dish: buncha with pork is out of stock but for the vibes, food and the prices, I'll definitely be back here. Reco!

Found a hidden gem for Vietnamese food! Strongly recommended if you are in paya lebar!

The Pho Tai Nam ($8.30) had a generous portion with a light broth that greatly resembles the ones I had in Vietnam. Absolutely loved the silky smooth noodles!

The Banh Mi with grilled pork chop ($6) had a crispy baguette crust with really smoky grilled pork slices. Loved the spicy tangy sauce in the Banh Mi!

The fried spring rolls ($5.50) were one of the most addictive ones I had; it does not taste too oily! A must get to share!

The banana dessert ($4) was underwhelming though, as the coconut milk is way too thick and sweet.

Overall, its a good place for Vietnam food in the east! Do opt for the alfresco dining as it adds alot to the atmosphere!

If there is one thing that is strongly associated with Vietnamese culture, it has to be the beef pho. Pho seems like an easy dish to make but it's really hard to get it right; the broth has to be tasty, the beef has to be tender, the noodles has to be just right and so on. The verdict is little Vietnam has delivered given how I have been to Vietnam several times both north and south and their version does come close to some of the best pho I have tried. The noodles literally slips off your tongue and the broth compliments it so well. My only ask if that the beef slices could be thinner and softer!
