Marriott Cafe’s roasted beef and pork is still very good. I like my beef rather rare, and so the 2nd batch of beef that came out was excellent! As seen in the photo.

The only thing they could improve on was that it was rather blend. On other days I’ve been here, there have been occasions where it was nicely marinated with enough salt.

Meanwhile, the roasted pork was a little too salty today, vs previous visits. Having said that, their crackling was excellent and roast was done just right! 👍

High Tea Buffet spread includes 40 scrumptious local delights, including Satay, Oyster Omelette, Dim Sum, Laksa, Hokkien Noodles, Nasi Lemak and more.

Having tried their weekday spread, decided to check out their weekend spread. I noticed the change I. dishes for the weekend is Lamb chops and Veal tongue! Unlike the weekday, where it’s either fish or chicken, or some vegetable hot dish. It’s my first time trying Veal Tongue, I liked the soft tender meat and texture of it! 😋👍

The lamb chop was a tad dry on some parts though. Perhaps, it’s over-cooked for my personal preference. I prefer it more medium-rare, this is cooked to well-done. So, Nope 👎

The roasted beef and pork is their standard carving items. It’s still good! 👍

Plus, there was iberico ham too, and it was Superb!

Given the decent variety of food here, thought it’d be a convenient place to do a meet-up with friends (to everyone gets to eat what they prefer). I had my usual roasted meats. The roasted beef was done very nicely today - they allowed the salt seasoning to sit-in and hence it was nicely flavoured and it was done just right (Medium-rare). It wasn’t too dry or blend (like my earlier 2 visits here).

Meanwhile, my friend enjoyed the crustaceans and laksa. Plus, she ordered a glass of white wine (from a-la-carte) to accompany the food. Overall, she quite liked the food too.

Returned for their roasted carvings, and was hoping they’d have a pork or beef cooked dish too. But unfortunately, it was mostly chicken dishes. The roasted beef for today was excellent - done just right, medium-rare and was moist. The roasted pork saddle though was rather dry - could be because it has been out for a while already when I went, as it was already at the tail end of the roast carving.

I noticed there baked salmon had the skin on today, and I couldn’t resist and helped myself to some of those skin - it was nice! Skin was gelatinous and slightly crisp.

However, one thing that happened today was the craving station crew only prepared ONE roast each! I don’t know how and why did they under-estimate the consumption. But, we had to wait quite a while, when the chefs had to roast their 2nd one. So the station was empty for quite a while (since it takes time to roast those slabs of meat!). Then when they first took it out to serve, there was a queue (built up from the wait), only to find out the beef was under-cooked and had to be put back into the oven. Same for the pork; after cutting the edges where it would usually be the first to be cooked, they discovered it had to be roasted for a longer duration and put it back into the oven. This left a few of the guests and myself disappointed.

By the time I went back to check with the carving Chef on the roast beef and pork, it was already 2.20pm, just 10 minutes to their buffet closing time. Although I managed to get some pieces of both, I realised the other guests did not bother anymore. In addition, Marriott Cafe now has 2 slabs of beef and pork that looked like food prepared in “excess” when it was actually due to their ill-prepared quantity. This did not happen the first few times I patronised them. I hope today was an exception.

Returned for their lunch buffet as I enjoyed my first experience. Today’s roasted Beef was unfortunately a little dry, compared to my first experience which was just earlier this week. Their roasted pork was still excellent! Tender meat and superb crisp crackling.

I tried a little of their baked salmon, and port salut - both were good, too! The staff has very good service too 👍

The other dish that I found worth giving praise is their Beef Brisket. The brisket is coffee and chermoula spiced, which gave it a very flavourful taste and meat was tender (especially given that it’s a brisket), which would tend to be tough if not cooked done well.

So, do give this a try and don’t miss it amongst all the dishes.

Came here to try based on friend’s recommendation that their roasted pork and beef is superb. I must agree! The crackling of the roasted Pork was fabulous! In addition, I found the service staff’s service very good! For the variety and quality, I give it thumbs up! 👍👍

I’d definitely return!

Kudos to all the creative brain juices that go behind the the items. The durian sauce here is light and subtle which actually pairs with the youtiao and fruits in the bowl of rojak.

What fascinates me is still the enchanting durian desserts spread in the Marriott Cafe’s Durian High Tea Buffet. Think Durian Puffs, Durian Red Bean Pudding, Durian Coconut Custard, Durian Tarts, Durian Strudel and many more. All these on top of the buffet spread!
