Comforting cold, firm and creamy custard pudding with hints of ginger taste.

🚩Mei Heong Yuen Dessert, 1 Northpoint Drive, Northpoint City South Wing, 2-171, Singapore 768019

Beautiful snowy fruity flavoured shaved ice with sweet mango cube and sugary popping pearl toppings, then drizzled with sweet mango and strawberry syrup sauce. Icy and smooth. Love that popping pearl that bursts sugar syrup in your mouth.🀀

The barley gingko nut, on the other hand, was actually pretty decent. In particular, the beancurd skin and barley were really soft, and the dessert wasn't overly sweet. The only bad part about the dish is that it was surprisingly small; even the dessert shop at my house serves a bigger bowl for a lower price.

We thought the peanut flavour would be unique and we decided to order it but alas, it was rather disappointing as the peanut taste was really faint. In fact, after a while, the dish tasted like a plain bingsu and there was almost zero presence of peanut. We will not order this again and we will probably stick to safer flavours like mango or durian. 😭

Mei Heong Yuen is my place to go for comforting yet affordable Chinese dessert :) I like their peanut/sesame paste (they can accommodate the mixing) and yam paste!

Other hot desserts like tang yuan and pulut hitam are great as well. They also serve cold icy desserts for those who prefer to have shaved ice that comes in really interesting flavours (chendol, milk tea, etc.)
