From the Burpple community

Peach aloe Vera had an interesting creamy filling, very familiar but can't quite rmb what it is.

Hazelnut had a decent hazelnut taste but more chocolate, not sure if we shld be happy it's not just Nutella

Overall it's not really anything special, neither the fillings nor the baguettes were particularly good. The baguette is the kind that's difficult to bite, not the super fluffy and cirspy one typical of banh mi which is drastically superior. Further it's super messy to eat

Very average. Texture wasn't good, not enough sugar, and it didn't meld w the butter

I have been eyeing @mr_baguette_singapore oozy lava baguette buns for years now, because it is soo unique and I wanted to try how it tastes like! Happened to chance upon @mr_baguette_singapore 20% storewide flash sale last week on @pickupp.sg and I knew it was TIME TO BUY!

Got 2 boxes of 6 of all sorted flavours! Ordered 12 out of the 14 flavours available because my family loves variety!

Apple Lava
Blueberry Lava
Peach Aloe Vera
Orange Pomelo
Cherry Cranberry
Cookies & Cream Lava
Chocolate Lava
Red Velvet Lava
Tiramisu Lava
Hazelunt Lava
Azuki Lava
Cheese Lava

First thing first, the appearance of the buns are soo pretty and attractive!Every baguette flavour was also super interesting and delicious! It is recommended to heat them up in the oven /toaster / air fryer for 180 degrees for 2-3 mins before eating so that you get the flowy lava! The baguette buns was crispy crusty and with a generous amount of creamy molten lava fillings! Lots of ingredients in the fillings too! Do prepare a plate before eating the buns as it can get MESSY!

They have two outlets: Golden Mile Food Centre B1-51; and 102 Hougang Avenue 1 #01-1195

For @pickupp.sg orders, remember to use the code to get $5 off (min $14 purchase), which effectively offsets the delivery cost!

Ordered a few flavours through group buy as well as their Hawaiian toast. Chocolate lava is too much for me. I liked the peach aloe vera and Hawaiian toast. Surprisingly the bread still crispy the next day after reheat. Don’t use air fryer as the quality will not be that nice. Will I buy again? Yes but not a must.

Bought a few flavour ($11 for 6 pieces) and I would say having lava flavour oozing in a round like baguette is very unique. However, taste wise of the lava ooze does not have much flavour.

Lava Bun’s Pricing (1 Piece - $3; 2 Pieces - $4; 6 Pieces - $11)

Adzuki Lava (Matcha Filling with Aduzki - Red Bean) hmmm 🤔 I don’t know how to write food reviews already for this because I felt that it was quite sweet and milky aftertaste for matcha lava filling and also their red bean was quite hard to chew after reheating the lava bun.

Tiramisu Lava (Espresso, Almond and Cheese)

Red Velvet Lava (Yogurt, Beetroot, Chocolate and Cheese)

Orange Pomelo (New Flavour) (Orange Slices and Dried Pomelo) (not in picture)

I also felt that all their other flavour for lava filling was quite sweet aftertaste for me and probably not buying if I passby again 🤭 If you want to eat melting
