I order their porridge set meal under ($9.90) and I felt that their minced pork is not nice tbh. I really like their heated youtiao and so crunchy and crispy texture tbh. I order wrong drink 🥲 milk tea w no sugar just still not that nice tbh.

This was my 3rd time at Mr youtiao and definitely not my last! Usually I get the curry set but decided to try the bakuteh. The meat at some parts were a bit tough but overall was not too bad. The soup is peppery but just nice for me. I love their youtiao as its crispy and not too chewy, which is quite different from the normal youtiao maybe because they air fry it. And as always their curry is thick and fragrant, the true star of the meal.

Their curry is self service and free flow, sometimes if you're lucky you get some potato or bits of chicken too:)

Novel to pair youtiao with curry. I mean, why not? Youtiao is a cousin of prata and curry is better than soya milk. Fritter here is bigger than usual but could be crispier. Almond flakes make it interesting. Curry is very good and probably should be used in other dishes.

Was being a typical ‘queue-joiner’, was wondering what’s the hype about Mr Youtiao while you could find Mr Bean just one level down from Novena Square 2.

Realised they served not only the classic you tiao, they have selection of Almond or Sesame You Tiao that comes with Curry dipping sauce. That’s something new for me! Though I personally find that the curry is a little too salty.

Beancurd was just alright and the soya bean drink was just so-so, not fancy or thick or much for a queue.

Came with a mini bowl of porridge, which had a generous heap of ingredients! Was very impressed because it tasted like the kind of homecooked porridge I grew up with (but don't expect it to be silky smooth like the Cantonese porridge should be!). The set came with a 'youtiao' of your choice (there were plain, sesame and almond to choose from), a curry dip (for the 'youtiao'), and a drink (I took away a cup of Teh Gao Siew Dai). Overall, a really lovely meal (have always walked past this unassuming stall but never thought they are pretty good!
