Located at the 3rd floor of Fortune Centre, Seva Cafe is one of the vegetarian restaurants you can find here.

Although the name may suggest an Indian cuisine only, but they actually served much of Asian cuisine.

I went for their nasi briyani, with comes with a bowl of curry, rice, cucumber, cracker and long beans.

The curry consists of potatoes and pieces of mushroom meat. Spicy but not too overpowering.

Went to Jin Jin Eating House to try their mala 2 weeks ago😄 Ordered their mala and some pork and beef chuan chuans to try, and a drink too! Total bill was about $33/2 pax.

Overall ratings 6.5/10! Mala was decent but not as flavourful as I wanted it to be. Would say mala here is relatively affordable but do not think ill be heading back again🥲

Chanced upon this unassuming Shao la stall in 3838 Coffee Shop just opposite Bugis+ and was surprised by the delicious quality of their roasts!

We ordered their 3 kinds for 2 pax and a small bowl of lotus root soup all for $18. The roasted pork slices were very fatty and I loved the crispy skin! The cha shao or marinated pork slices were tender and I loved the sweet and savoury marinade. Roast duck pieces were also tender and flavourful!

Definitely a decent shao la stall as one of your meal options here in Bugis!

There’s plenty of vegetarian restaurants in Fortune Centre. At level 1, you probably would find this place called the Red Apple Vegetarian.

One of the set menu they have would be this Black Pepper Chicken Chop Rice. The slices of mocked chicken chop topped with black pepper sauce, and you could add fried egg as well.

I like it that they also provided the chicken rice chili.

With the receipe hailing from the famous defunct stall beside the Odeon theatre, this commercialised brand marries the 1980s taste with modernised processes.
.
The fortifying beef broth and thick gravy both hold a warming savoury sweet herbal flavour, extracted from beef bones stewed for up to 5 hours.
.
The soup is best paired with silky kway teow / flat rice noodles, while the gravy goes with smooth thick bee hoon / rice vermicelli noodles. Garnished with crisp bean sprouts and crunchy spring onions, lending vegetal sweet flavour.
.
Both versions have a good portion of beef parts - chewy premium Australian beef slices, tender beef brisket, springy beef meat balls, spongy tripe; all picking up the meaty savoury sweet herbal notes.
.
Complete with sharp spicy chili for added kick.

First of all, the blue rice was a joke. It's white rice with a few grains of blue. The potato and egg were nonsense too. Luckily, the chicken leg was very lemak.

for a food court in town, i think the price tag was pretty reasonable given that we had 2 maggis and 2 bowls of rice. we got da la and the bowl came dotted with countless cut chilis and chili padi, so the spice factor was certainly there. though the ingredients were generally well incorporated with the mala fragrance, the noodles were slightly overcooked and soggy which reduced the satisfaction of eating it.

rating: 6/10

Satisfying beef noodles with thick noodles and flavorful thick sauce! Beef balls were chewy and tasty!
