A traditional soup restauranted located in the heart of Geylang with a parking lot conveniently located across the street, though the latter was full when we came around 7.30pm.
The Cordyceps Chicken soup was extremely flavourful, while the chicken itself was still moist and not overboiled. The piping-hot Fish Maw soup was full of collagen, giving it a creamy texture that was not too thick at the same time. Both dishes were served with generous portions of ingredients - be prepared to eat a lot of cordyceps!
The side dishes were not too be outdone too. The Chai Poh Omelette was greatly balanced, with the egg not being too salty so as to allow the Chai Poh flavour to come through. The Jade Tofu was lightly fried and not too oily. Likewise, it was not flavoured too heavily so as to pair better with the pickled radish sauce, making for a perfect comination of taste.
A big bonus was the lack of thirst we felt after the meal, indicating that there was little to no MSG used in the soups and the flavours were all painstakingly produced by the boiling of ingredients.
The service was impeccable and the free ice cream was a nice touch. Herbal soup fans won't want to miss out on this!
We were served generous portions of chicken and tried both the black and white varieties — both were wholesome and satisfying. The staff also recommended the Jade tofu, omelette, and prawn balls, which turned out to be quite hearty for two people. Overall, it was an enjoyable dinner, topped off with complimentary ice cream to end the meal on a sweet note!
Enjoyed the chicken soups (we didn't try the turtle one but it seemed popular). HP bar went up as we drank it. Also like the homemade ginseng chrysanthemum tea :)
came to this place and had the nicest staff helping us to our table. i ordered the black chicken soup and the kampong chicken soup as well, so flavourful and the meat was literally falling off the bone. the cai po omelette was the one that pleasantly surprised me, such generous amounts of cai po on a fluffy omelette. they even gave us free ice cream which in this weather? perfect. will definitely patronise them again
really delicious food! the soup is my favourite dish, the chicken fall off the bones and it is so tender. The soup is so thick, can really tell it’s cooked for a long time! 🤩
their egg has a light wokhey taste! fried at the corners but fluffy in the middle! 🤤 same goes for their homemade tofu!! their ngohiang is also really delicious and well fried!!
also their service is so so good! their staff are all really friendly despite the lunch crowd, and they manage the queue really well!! will defo be back!! 😋
Great herbal soup and side dishes! Special mention goes to the black chicken soup, for the really nice layered herbal flavour and the Cai Po Omelette, not too salty with amazing fluffiness.
Might just be my favourite herbal soup restaurant ever. Had the collagen fish maw soup and black chicken soup which were both so tasty and had high quality ingredients. Zichar side dishes like the caipo omelette and tofu were delicious too
comforting and nourishing soup! tried their ginseng black chicken soup and cordyceps flower kampong chicken soup — they were very generous with the ingredients and the soup was very rich and delicious, you will not feel thirsty after your meal. we also had their handmade fresh prawn roll and signature jade tofu — both were well paired with sauces that elevates the taste profile of the dish. lastly, we had their homemade ginseng chrysanthemum, the ginseng was light and not overpowering, perfect for the hot weather!
overall, a very pleasant experience here!
Came to this unassuming store on a Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered two soups - Ginseng black chicken and Cordyceps kampung chicken soup. The broth was very rich but not very salty (typically what happens at other stores would be trying to use salt/msg + 当归 to mask the lack of herbal ingredients). The servings were generous with a huge portion of meat in their soups.
What impressed me further were their side dishes. The prawn rolls were crispy yet succulent and the filling was definitely more generous than at a tzichar store. The sesame sauce was so fragrant.
Overall, a really good experience and the first time I have ended a soupy meal without filling thirsty!
汤的味道很浓, 中药味很足。 配料也很有水准。 主要吃了不会口渴。下次再来试试山瑞汤。
We walked past and decided to have a late dinner here! Unfortunately, we missed out on their famous chicken soup, but ended up trying the collagen soup and turtle soup instead. I was a little hesitant at first, but both turned out to be rich, thick, and incredibly flavourful. The turtle meat was surprisingly tender with a slight chew in some parts. That’s not all, we also ordered the prawn rolls and signature tofu! I love the texture of the tofu!! It was very crispy on the outside and soft on the inside which pairs very well with their sauce given. A warm, comforting meal to end the night! 🍲

Ordered the claypot turtle soup, handmade fresh prawn roll and a bowl of yam rice. The turtle soup was amazing. The soup embraced a deep, savoury warmth luxurious broth simmered for hours perfected over time. You can taste the infused herbs and a touch of various spices. Service was excellent. Service staff offered to top up broth without being asked, much to my surprise. The yam rice was perfect, generous with cubes of yam and not to mention the prawn rolls which were so delicious. Will visit again to try the other stuffs.
