More Reviews of good food at Food Court 2 (Nanyang Technological University)

Finally reunited with my Chilli Oil Dumpling Noodles… is it me or is this bowl of noodles just plain difficult to find? Let me know if you have any recommendation for a good bowl of Chilli Oil Dumpling Noodz🤤☺️

Found this bowl at NTU Canteen 2, which has a good number of stalls selling alternative cuisine like Korean, Japanese, and even Thai. It’s not easy to get such diversity in a medium sized food court, especially in the premises of a school, but Canteen 2 delivers. Got the Chilli Oil Dumpling Noodles at the La Mian Xiao Long Bao stall. Dumplings were meaty and juicy, noodles were pretty good in my opinion. The texture of the noodles were qq and smooth, and just super slurpy in general. The Chilli oil sauce however, might require an acquired taste for appreciation, simply because it’s so damn vinegary. For some reason, they put quite a bit in their sauce, and lucky for them, Im actually quite accepting of vinegar in this bowl of noodles. But I can see why it might get repulsive for others, especially when the proportions in here just doesn’t seem the most balanced. Overall, wished it could’ve been spicier and less vinegary. But if you hate vinegar to the core, you can actually request to not have vinegar in your sauce. With that, you probably could ask them to not put so much, or remove it entirely and add it on the side by yourself.

Yummy and value-for-money chicken cutlet ($4.80). Asked for the lady to take out the mayo and add more cheese 😋 while they are very generous with the cheese, it can make the crispy skin soggy. Still very delicious! Chicken cutlet was juicy and thick. Really worth it!

The Xiao Long Bao was delicious as usual, but one broke before we got to dig in 😢 the Red Bean Pancake was surprisingly delicious. The bread part tasted like a butterfry, with some red bean inside. The sesame seeds made it really fragrant as well. Please give it a try if you happen to be around 😊

I think it’s worth the price as the portion of the fish is big and it tastes real good !!! Definitely love the kimchi !!

I would say , the aunty is very friendly and energetic, she will always greet customer by saying “ 小弟/ 小妹要吃什么?”
The food is quite nice especially the kimchi ! It taste fresh and delicious!! For the price I think is affordable and the portion is big ! Plus, there’s free flow kimchi!

Canteen food are always cheap but quality can be quite meh, and you think to yourself “you pay for what you get”. but this stall is a rare gem.

6 juicy, yummy XLB for $4.30?!?! And $4 for those wonderfully flavoured 红油抄手 (Sichuan Spicy Wonton in red oil) ?!?? Take my money!

I’m gonna miss these so much when I graduate. Sigh.

This one is the roasted chicken rice with egg. Taste wise, it’s not the best cuz the rjce is rather bland but portion wise, it’s more than the usual.

For under $5, the salads are great. The lettuce is crisp the carb sides are tasty, and all the toppings are fresh and yummy!

I need these! These oh-so-sinful smashed crisp tender chicken with the fiery belachan that can kill you - but you'll try it anyway. This is my favourite dish in school, what's yours?

Anyway, one thing about being an avid food Instagrammer is that probably there's no quitting, always here liking & drooling over other people's food (social media addiction or just another excuse to procrastinate?). Geez okay now! Back to mug mode 🤓 I think I'll be back pretty soon though 😂

We enjoyed digging into what seems incredibly crispy on the outer & finding our way into the succulent tender flesh. With curry drenched rice side with the fiery but super satisfying sambal belachan, we simply couldn't ask for a better life.
So NTU dwellers & those staying back in school, what are you having for dinner tonight? 😊

$5.0 a little tough, but still amazing to have it on campus:)))

$2.5 three flavors icecream. The chocolate one is great though it is not round!

I was pleasantly surprised to have found such good waffles in NTU! Of course, it being cheap was another bonus!

We've got a wonderful stall selling beautiful salad at NTu CAN2 now! Create your own salad at only $3.90. And what's even better is that it is approved by our super picky president @hipstersgonhate #burpple

quite mad.. 3rd salad in a week as a meal. psyche myself to down greens again cause yesterday the world was down by a few cattle after we massacred them at wong dae bak. generous tuna mesclun with 4 toppings (cashews, mixed caps, eggs and mushrooms) at $6.90. serving is really value-for-money imho. judging from the healthy queue, lovegreens is getting popular. note to self: choose toppings wisely next time. otherwise, taste may be dull like in this case. should replace one topping with either raisins or sweet corn kernals for a sweet delight in the mix.

monday-eat-right! office folks decided to swing by ntu for quick lunch. then spotted people eating greens from a deep bowl. post morning run and salad for lunch? so much win! my smoked duck salad in creamy japanese sesame dressing comes heartily with not 2, not 3 but a whopping generous 4 sides to go with! lovely selections there but decided to go with cashews, raisins, olives and capsicums @ $7.90. while waiting time was tad longer, the quality and freshness totally made up for it and had me chowing down like a happy cow at my table.
