Looking for good brunch and coffee around? This may be one of your options. Oberstrasse is a quiet cafe just a small walk away from lavender station. They are famous for their rosti and coffee, and they really did not disappoint! The Veal Sausage Rosti ($18) was crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside, just how a good rosti should be. However, I do wish that they season it just abit more. The veal sausage is huge and absolutely delicious, with the crispy exterior and juicy succulent meat within. The Dirty Matcha or Dirty Green ($6.50) was actually really smooth and aromatic! It wasnt too milky as well. The froth on top is well appreciated too! Furthermore, you can get 30% off the mains using #burpplebeyond 😍

Quiet and nice ambience at the cafe. Tried their brunch item which was decent with crispy yet small rosti. Was quite expensive for the quality of items on the plate, there's better brunch places out there but do visit if you like rostis.

went there 2 people, thinking to try extra main since we got the 25% off coupon. However, after payment, I realised that Only 2 lowest value items are the 25% off. Third item is not included despite it is not stated in the burpple.
If you are ordering more than 2 items, I will suggest you order the 2 most expensive items with the burpple coupon first. Order the third item separately to maximize your discount!
Feeling sad for being treated as stupid customers :

Food wise, the Rosti is ok.
The aglio olio is tasteless.
I would suggest you guys to avoid the aglio olio if you come.

The Mac and cheese serving size was great. Very worth for $8! The chorizo is legit, the sunny side up was nice and runny, the rosti fell apart a bit easily but the taste is good.

Iced Matcha Latte ($7.50)
Slightly sweet from the Hazelnut, which may have also overpowered the Matcha a little. Wouldn't say it's the bitter, gao kind of Matcha Latte, but more towards light, slightly grassy Matcha flavour here.

On my list for really long because they are known for their rosti, and it's not easy to find good ones!

Oberworks ($21)
- Choice of Poached Eggs, Scrambled, Sunny Side Up
The outsides were surprisingly crispy, but was still moist inside, so it doesn't hold together very well, but was decently flavourful. The mushrooms had a nice bite and the bacon was slightly crispy at some parts. The chorizo (sausage) had a very strong spice (?) (my guess is cumin) which made it flavourful and slightly spicy, but flavour could also be too strong for some. The poached eggs were well cooked, with it being runny the way I like it. Only really wished for some sourcream to pair with the rosti. Overall a decent rosti, except that the dish was kinda pricey, but made more affordable with 30% off from @burpple!

Got 30% off from @burpple, so the total bill came up to $48.50 for 2 mains and 2 drinks!

Overall Rating: 7.5/10

Bacon Shrooms Carbonara ($16)
This was really creamy! The pasta had a firm bite which I liked, and comes with "softer" bacons and shrooms (compared to the Rosti's) 🀭. It's not bad a dish - enough to satisfy but wouldn't rave about it.

~$15 after 30% off with Burpple
Choice of poached or scrambled eggs
My friend and I felt that it was rather bland and only when we were almost done with the food then we realised salt and pepper were self service -> tasted much better after that πŸ™‚
The paywave machine had some issues on that day so it kinda interrupted our meal as the waitress tried a few times before we resorted to paying with NETS.
A quaint and nice cafe to chill.

We came here for their coffee a few times but finally get to try their food and they did not disappoint! Love their rosti! Paired so well with the Cajun chicken. Great service and coffee too!

Generous with the seafood especially with the crabmeat (which I really appreciate!). The dish is on the salty side, especially the Shellfishes. Probably added a tad too much salt.

Over-hyped. I saw many many good reviews about this. Don't want to be mean but don't think there was anything special. It was a regular Rosti with regular Bratwurst. Maybe their Breakfast Rosti would be better

got the original rosti & chilli crab pasta :) chilli crab pasta was definitely not bland. right amount of spiciness with generous amount of crab meat. rosti was a bit burnt but it was crispy on the outside! overall worth it with the 30% off! paid $21 for these two.

Big Breakfast πŸ₯“:
Came with choice of egg so we went with scrambled, rosti was good and crunchy but overall the dish was heavily salted and became quite overpowering on the palate. The sausage was a very nice change in the dish as it was very spicy, it definitely added a welcome kick to the dish.
Truffle Fries 🍟:
5 🌟 This. Was. Amazing. The truffle flavour was extremely prevalent through the fries and the cheese topping was extremely generous. Fries were very crunchy and freshly fried, great snack!! However, the 30% off does not apply for this item as it is a side, not a main.
Fettuccine Carbonara 🍜:
This was very yummy and the sauce was so rich and creamy, however, similar to the breakfast platter it was very overly salted. The mushrooms were a nice touch in here but the meat portion was very little, however, for a carbonara sauce it was very satisfying and delicious.

Overall a great meal!
