After I bought this, the smell of the puff filled my nostrils as I walked from B2 to L3 to get to the Sentosa Express, and all the way into Sentosa. Cos I put it my bag pack afterwards, now my whole bag smells of it too š
Inside was packed with egg, sambal, anchovies and prolly some otah-tasting fish I suppose.
I would definitely recommend this if you're craving for curry puff + Nasi lemak and can't go for both cos both are high in calories & fat š°
The salted egg prawn one next time!
Nostalgic and simply local delight
I must say i was pleasantly surprised to find the actual rice inside, which was fragrant and very well cooked through so it is actually soft. I love the chicken which has a bit of the dark soysauce on it and really tender. I felt the balance of the rice with the chicken chunks is good because you wonāt get too much rice in this. I finished the whole puff before i knew it! You could taste the tinge of chilli yet the sauces are kept subtle, which made it easy to finish and not overwhelming. Basically itās like a plate of hainanese chicken rice but all wrapped into a puff! Get 2 for $3.60. Available till 28 Feb only!

I am tempted to eat it with @oldchangkeesingapore Hainanese Chilli ($5.80/bottle). Also available in Nasi Lemak Chilli and Homemade Sweet Chilli.

Psst. It kept me thinking about it so I made EU share another Hainanese Chicken RiceāO with me š I prefer eating it hot so i highly recommend to heat it up before eating!

The latest seasonal flavour of @oldchangkeesingapore , this curry puff is an upgrade of the signature chicken curry puff, with an inclusion of double cheese (cheddar & mozzarella), potato and curry chicken and a black charcoal exterior in replacement of the usual golden brown one. Differing from the illustrated photo, mine didnt come with any cheese pull but nevertheless, the presence of the double cheese was still significantly prominent, adding a tangy piquant note to the aromatic, mildly spicy curry chicken chunks and chunky diced potato cubes. Would prefer a greater tinge of spice in the curry but I am guessing it might be have been toned down with the inclusion of the creamy, gooey melted cheese. Also love the crisp edges too too thatās slightly crumbly and flaky! š .
