A great place for seafood lovers and the chef has done an excellent job in integrating chinese culture into the food. The seafood like the oysters and fish are fresh and supreme!
Really, really good seafood and quality of food in general! they served our food really quickly too!
My favourite was definitely the jumbo tiger prawns! it has a really nice buttery taste that elevates the sweet taste of the prawns! also the prawns are really fresh and they already peeled the skin for u! :) i also tried the crab coquette which is creamy and perfect for people who enjoys a mix of textures! Even though it’s fried, it doesn’t have the oily after feel. We also had the burger which has a fish patty and it is so crispy but not too gelak as the creamy sauce in the burger neutralised it. The scallops are fresh and sweet, really soft too which paired very well with the crispy noodles at the bottom!
Overall, the seafoods are really fresh and the food is prepared right in front of us which allowed us to see the whole preparation process! Truly one of the best seafood I’ve tasted! Definitely recommend visiting One Prawn & Co!
Beef Bulgogi and Bafun Uni ($26) – A sweet and savoury creation that was absolutely foolproof, featuring 16-hour smoked beef brisket simmered in bulgogi glaze and transformed into “meat marmalade,” served on toasted, buttery brioche.
16-Day Dry-Aged Kingfish Loin with Green Goddess ($30 per 100g) – Another large plate to anticipate. The aged kingfish loin, served two ways, was wonderfully executed. Half was presented clean with a savoury, smoky whisper. In contrast, the other half was dressed in a tasty, tangy, piquant green sauce made with red wine vinegar, green chilli, coriander, and finished with a punch of fish sauce. Very luscious.
Jumbo Tiger Prawns, Sakura Vermouth, Burnt Leek Oil ($56) – Flame-grilled, fresh-tasting, and meaty. The jumbo tiger prawn was nice, but my favourite part was the buttery cream sauce and drizzles of leek oil, which added a bright, caramelised flavour.
What a treat at One Prawn & Co with their 8-course dinner line-up ($100++ per pax, minimum two diners)! Think signature wood-fired grilled seafood, dry-aged fish, and bold, punchy, umami-packed plates curated with an Asian modern twist by Chef Gwyneth.
Uni Tart, Smoked Mash, Almond Tart, Bafun Uni ($20/2pcs) – A decadent one-bite combo I didn’t expect to work so well! The fragrant almond tart base paired superbly with the briny sweetness of the bafun uni.
