The crab yellow curry with ferns was incredibly delicious , and went well with the rice cooked in coconut water which has a fragrant sweetness
Overall i would rate this a 6/10
Beef green curry was good as the beef was tender and curry was spicy enough
Had the mango salad with soft shell crabs and was good too. However, the batter for the soft shell crab was slightly thicker than expected
Ordered a Salad with crab meat and felt that it wasnโt worth the price
Fried eggplant with assorted vegetables was also average
It was really pricey. Each dish cost an average of $25-$35. Although portions were relatively bigger than other fine dining cuisine, still felt that the taste was lacking in some dishes.
Overall: May visit again but there are so many other thai restaurants in Singapore to try

Tanglin Mall is strategically located at the junction of Tanglin Road & Grange Road. Set in an eclectic background of colonial and tropical architecture, to reflect an ambience of warmth and comfort, Tanglin Mall is a niche for the expatriates, yuppies & professionals. A 4-storey, a one-stop lifestyle mall with over 71 shops, restaurant & services, Tanglin Mall caters to affluent catchment of approx 1 million residents in the nearby districts and anchor tenants include Tanglin Market Place (a gourmet supermarket cum bakery) and Tanglin Food Hall (a foodie paradise). Patara Fine Thai Cuisine is located at level 3 of the mall and it serves quality Thai Food in a comfortable and pretty environment. The chef from the restaurant focuses on bringing enjoyable dining experience to the customers who dines in the shop.
My top few favourite would be their red curry prawns with bitter gourd and australian beef tenderloin. The red curry is really flavourful and it goes well with the bitter gourd and perfect to eat it together with the thai fragrance rice. The beef tenderloin was really tender and juicy, it kinda melts in the mouth.
Used the entertainer for this and my total bill for 4 mains and a Tom yum starter ($15) came up to $73.
Love the green curry under the meats section $29 with tender beef chunks inside.
Olive rice and pad thai was yummy and filling too. $17 each. Compliments the curry nicely.
Would come back again for the ambiance, the quality of food reminds me of Orchard Towerโs Thai Tantric but youโre paying a premium for the ambiance. Good to go for first dates or with small eaters!

The food is very good. There are some unusual dishes rarely found in Thai restaurants overseas, and execution is quite masterful. Service is courteous and competent. What makes this not a top-end restaurant as it aims to be and as reflected in its pricing is the very dated dรฉcor, more comfortable than smart.
Nice experience. This starter dish is amazing and unique. Not what you will find in the other Thai restaurants. Hefty price tag so be prepared ๐

It's hard to explain how good this pork dish is but it was savoury and sweet at the same time, and the pork was cooked to perfection. Impeccable with rice. It's one of those unforgettable dishes.
Milder but still very enjoyable, even the lean meat was fall-apart tender. Nice star shaped potatoes lol but the lotus seeds were interesting. At first I thought they were potatoes >
Curry was complex and lovable but duck meat was not tender enough(compared to their other meats, still decent tho). Their longan particularly was stuffed with pineapple and really super sweet. I'm surprised even the wonderful curry cant overwhelm the fruits
Great flavour profile and spices but still manageable. Incredible with rice and the seafood was super fresh as well. The mushrooms were stunning; truly an enjoyable bowl
Kudos to Deliveroo, I managed to enjoy top-notch Thai food delivered right to my office doorstep. What really impressed me was despite the wet weather, my order arrived within 40 mins from the time I hit the checkout button!
Packed with roast duck breast, tropical fruits and herbs, the creamy red curry with a tinge of sweetness and spiciness was super lemak. For Isan (Northeastern Thai) food lovers like myself, I added steamed sticky rice ($3.75) for its firm, QQ texture to go with the duck curry ($27.82).

Thai food is usually so good I don't give two hoots about the ambience but if one can be pampered with refined Thai cuisine within a premium setting, why not right? Patara Fine Thai, with branches in London, Beijing, Geneva and Bangkok, is one such restaurant.
From the ambience to the service, the presentation to the taste, everything is of top-notch quality. With prices to match of course ๐
The following dishes were my favourites when I last dined there, starting with the "Gang Keaw Wan Neua" or Green Curry Chicken ($26++). I found it to be very aromatic, rich and a little on the sweet side. Proving just as enjoyable was the "Gang Massaman Gae" ($27++) that featured New Zealand lamb cooked with lotus seeds, carrots and small, whole onions in a medium-hot reddish curry. In my opinion, the single portion of "Tom Yam Goong" was rather small for the $12++ price tag but maybe it's because I couldn't get enough of its potent, super spicy goodness. Next time, I'm ordering the pot instead. The last dish that left a deep impression on me was the "Moo Ob Ma-prao" ($28++): massive chunks of slow braised pork belly in coconut juice, dark sauce, coriander and cassia bark. I was astonished by how tender and juicy the meat was!
