In the mood for something other than their signature ramens, I was set on having Ramen Keisuke Niku King’s Salmon Rare Katsu ($8.90). Fried perfectly, the breaded exterior was utterly crisp, light, and not greasy at all in my opinion. A great lunch option especially for a salmon lover like myself, I not only enjoyed the contrasting textures but the freshness of the thick cuts that came with each satisfying chomp as well. The spicy mayo and creamy tartare sauce were also wonderful accompaniments if you are in need of a more flavourful punch. To completed my meal, I got their Keisuke Egg Rice ($3.90) which I had no problem polishing off. The slices of chashu under the soft egg blanket came as a nice surprise.

Niku meant meat in Japanese, the niku king concept is offering diners ramen filled with slices thick of Tontoru Pork Chasyu slices, a fatties cut compare to classic pork loin.

Feature Niku King Tonkotsu Ramen Special (spicy option, top up $1).
Ramen served with signature pork based broth that thick, rich and umami, and a generous ingredients.

💰$19.9.

And with his 8th ramen concept and 12th ramen outlet, he brings to us Ramen Keisuke Niku King which will be opened to public on 21 September 2020. This new concept comes with a focus on new ramen creations such as the Niku King Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen Special ($20.90), which is a meat fest of pork chashu that will satisfy the carnivores of many on top of a ramen noodle base with a rich and creamy tonkotsu broth that packs an umami punch. In addition to the ramens in the menu, there is a limited selection of sides such as the Salmon Rare Katsu ($8.90) which had a crispy battered exterior while the inside salmon slice being rare.

🍴 [Media Tasting]

The black ramen is told to be more of a peppery taste when it comes to spiciness, rather than the red ramen which is just spicy. ‘Special’ toppings cost $4, with flavoured egg, pork belly and seaweed which makes it Super worth it for big eaters. However, it was too much for an average eater like me so make sure you order in moderation! Soup was flavourful with a nice tinge of peppery taste, but like the red spicy ramen the soup taste would become overwhelmingly salty over time.

It has a mild crisp on the inside, with a soft and delicate texture on the inside that still maintains the raw freshness of the salmon!

Note: Food photos were taken before the current circuit-breaker measure.

Always worth the queue for tasty ’King’ ramen.
Complimentary hard boiled eggs & Moyashi bean sprouts salad really hooked some regulars.
Chosen the one with all the toppings for indulgence.
Friendly service & really cool place.
